Two of the most iconic toy lines from the 80s and 90s coming together is just super exciting, and seeing official images finally drop makes it all feel real. I always loved both of these franchises growing up, and the idea of the Turtles teaming up with, or going head to head against, the Joes and Cobra is the kind of thing that fueled countless childhood imaginations. This is a real trifecta of nostalgia, action, and pure toy collecting joy all rolled into one announcement. Preorders have been announced, so collectors are going to want to move fast on these. So let’s take a look at the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x G.I. Joe crossover from Playmates Toys!

Here’s a closer look at the full TMNT x G.I. Joe lineup staged together, and it really sells the scope of this crossover. The Turtle-themed VAMP jeep in military green with yellow roll cage, green hubcaps, and a mounted turret pairs perfectly with that helicopter overhead, while figures like Leonardo, Michelangelo, Bebop, Slash, and the rest spread across the terrain show just how deep this mashup goes across both factions.

Leonardo is outfitted in full black tactical gear with blue accents, from the blue bandana and chest harness down to the blue knee pads and belt buckle bearing his initial. The crossover ninja-commando look works surprisingly well, with the black boots and armored plating giving the sculpt a completely different vibe from any Leo you’ve seen before. Bebop towers next to him, and you can see how the Cobra insignia stamped across his chest really sells the crossover concept. His purple hair, red visor, and those spiked olive-green shoulder pads bring all the classic Bebop flavor while the teal military pants and black combat boots pull him firmly into G.I. Joe territory.

Michelangelo looks like he’s having the time of his life in this mashup, sporting a teal sailor-style top with a yellow chest panel, a white sailor cap, and his signature orange mask and knee pads. The kusarigama chain weapon with a shuriken dangling from the end is a great touch, blending ninja weaponry with that nautical G.I. Joe flavor. Shredder gets a full Cobra Commander-inspired makeover here, with a blue tunic, red cape, and his classic silver helmet now sitting over what looks like a blue Cobra-style hood. You can see how the Cobra flame emblem on his belt buckle and the silver claw gauntlets on his boots tie the whole villain crossover together, and that katana is the one detail keeping him firmly rooted in TMNT territory.

Donatello is loaded up here, with a silver claw-grip weapon, a bo staff, and what looks like a backpack-mounted device with tubes running along his shell. His purple bandana, purple belt and wraps, teal shin guards, and that “D” buckle keep his identity clear while the military-grade loadout pushes him into full commando territory. I’m really digging Krang’s crossover look, with that exposed brain module framed in a silver and green chassis while a massive double-headed battle axe and a spiked silver flail give him serious heavy-hitter energy. The red snake motif coiling around his shoulders and torso is a killer nod to Cobra, and the silver spiked helmet completes the fusion beautifully.

Slash looks absolutely menacing in his Storm Shadow-inspired white gi, with the Cobra insignia stamped on the chest and magenta shoulder armor peeking out from under the fabric. His belt is loaded with sculpted gear and a purple buckle bearing a lightning bolt, while those yellow-green accents on his knuckles and toes pop against the teal skin and cream-colored outfit.

Raphael clashes with Rocksteady here, and I like how Raph’s sai are tucked into action while he wields that massive chainsaw, the teeth sculpted individually along the entire blade. Rocksteady’s tan vest with green ammo bandolier slung across the chest, teal jeans with a skull-and-crossbones belt buckle, and those goggles pushed up on his rhino horn make for a perfect punk-mercenary fusion, with a circular saw blade weapon adding to his arsenal.

Raphael’s crossover design goes full rugged here, with a brown leather-style vest, black cowboy hat, and what looks like an oversized ooze canister strapped to his back alongside a massive green gatling-style weapon. The Turtle Fly Copter behind him is covered in turtle shell-patterned hexagonal plating across the fuselage, with red-tipped rotor blades, underslung missiles with red warheads, and a “24” marking on the nose that sits alongside the TMNT emblem.

Scarlett’s crossover look keeps her signature red hair and yellow jumpsuit intact, with green tactical straps, brown leather holsters, and white boots grounding her firmly in Joe territory. The AWE Shell Striker beside her is packed with detail, from the “STINK” label on the turret-mounted missile to the orange pennant flag, flexible wire antennae, and a set of yellow air horns mounted low on the front bumper.
