Airwolf getting the collectible treatment from Ramen Toy and Factory Entertainment is the kind of tease that instantly transports you back to Saturday afternoons watching Stringfellow Hawke take that sleek, weaponized helicopter through impossible maneuvers, and if this collaboration follows the same trajectory as their stunning twelfth scale Knight Rider KITT with Michael Knight, collectors of 80s properties should be paying very close attention right now. Ramen Toy dropped the tease on Instagram, pointing fans toward Factory Entertainment’s booth 2743 at SDCC with the message “if you want to see what this is,” and while nothing has been officially confirmed yet in terms of scale, format, or full details, the implication is clear: something Airwolf-shaped is coming, and San Diego Comic-Con is where we’ll get our first real look. The fact that these two companies have already proven they can deliver on a beloved 80s vehicle property with the Knight Rider piece gives this tease a lot of weight, because that KITT was a gorgeous execution that hit the sweet spot between nostalgia and premium craftsmanship.
