Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai has given us a closer look at Auldey’s Transformers Alpha Action Elite line, thanks to Ramen Toy’s amazing photos of the company’s prototype display. Auldey is digging into several different corners of Transformers history, with prototypes of Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Smokescreen and Prowl joined by Action Master Optimus Prime, G2 Hero Optimus Prime, G2 Laser Optimus Prime and Thunderclash/Machine Wars Optimus Prime. The unpainted prototypes give us an early look at the different sculpts and designs Auldey has in development for the Alpha Action Elite line. Pricing, release timing, scale, materials and articulation information have not been supplied, so for now this is a look at what Auldey displayed at the convention.

Auldey’s display brings all eight gray prototypes together, with Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Prowl and Smokescreen joined by Action Master Optimus Prime, G2 Hero Optimus Prime, G2 Laser Optimus Prime and Thunderclash/Machine Wars Optimus Prime. Seeing the entire Alpha Action Elite lineup together also gives us a much better sense of the differences in scale and design across the figures.

Action Master Optimus Prime has the broad twin-window chest and wonderfully blocky lower legs that define this gray prototype. The angular helmet sculpt looks especially sharp, and the two long matching weapons add to his heavy, no-nonsense build.

Here’s a closer look at Bumblebee, who has a compact build with the vehicle parts packed tightly around his upper body. The squared-off chest and oversized feet give this version a chunky look, while the gray prototype lets us get a clear look at the sculpt before any of the final colors are added.

Cliffjumper is armed with a huge cannon that almost looks oversized next to his compact build. The gray prototype also gives us a clear look at his head sculpt, squared-off chest and the large vehicle panels extending behind his shoulders.

G2 Hero Optimus Prime has an almost ridiculous amount of hardware around his arms, including a long barrel extending past one leg and a tall rectangular piece rising above the opposite shoulder. I love the exposed ribbing across his midsection and the deep vent details cut into his shins.

G2 Laser Optimus Prime really leans into the distinctive look of the original G2 design, especially those massive shoulder towers with the tires and circular mechanical details worked into them. He’s also shown with a long sword and a large round shield, giving us a good look at how Auldey is translating the vintage design into the Alpha Action Elite line.

Prowl’s broad car-front chest carries crisp bumper, grille, and hood paneling, with door panels rising behind his shoulders and more vehicle bodywork packed into the oversized feet. The head sculpt may be my favorite part, especially that deeply recessed face beneath the squared, sharply ridged helmet.

Smokescreen’s helmet has a wonderfully sharp crest with tall side fins framing the stern face. The round wheel shapes above his shoulders and the long vehicle panel sweeping back from one side give his upper body a particularly chunky build.

Thunderclash/Machine Wars Optimus Prime has the broad vehicle-front chest, tall head sculpt and distinctive lower-leg details associated with that design. I really like that Auldey is digging into something as specific as Machine Wars Optimus Prime instead of sticking with the versions of Prime we see over and over again.
