The clock is ticking on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe Classified Series Dreadnok Thunder Machine, with the made-to-order preorder window closing today, October 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern. If you’ve been thinking about picking this one up, now’s the time to make that decision.
I’ve always loved the design of the vintage Thunder Machine, so seeing Hasbro bring it into the Classified Series at this beefed-up scale is pretty exciting. The mismatched red-and-blue body panels, oversized tires, and all that Dreadnok hardware made the original vehicle stand out, and this updated version takes that design to another level. Plus, I finally have somewhere to put my Classified Series Dreadnoks! They’ve been waiting for a proper ride, and the Thunder Machine looks like it’ll fit right in with the crew.
Priced at $124.99, the Thunder Machine features removable body panels, multiple weapon configurations, a detailed interior, and plenty of accessories to customize its appearance. Hasbro estimates shipping around September 1, 2027, and figures are sold separately. With the preorder window about to close, this is the last chance to secure one during the announced made-to-order period.

Although has Hasbro did not have a proper booth at NYCC 2026, they did have the ThunderMachine on display in another random booth. The Thunder Machine is a ridiculous slab of red-and-blue Dreadnok hardware, with an oversized spiked ram, exposed engine detail, mismatched armor panels and twin roof-mounted barrels fitted with translucent flame effects. Flatline wears a green hood and black tactical gear alongside it.

The Thunder Machine absolutely dwarfs Flatline, with the blue-tinted windshield and huge cylindrical unit behind the cab adding to its bulk. I love the rough side panels, exposed rivets and stenciled “RV4169,” which make the body look patched together rather than factory-clean.

The Thunder Machine’s nose has a gray tubular cage wrapped around a toothed disc with a tiny skull at its center. That is such a wonderfully ridiculous detail, especially beside the perforated red fender and deep-tread tire.

One of the more impressive features of the G.I. Joe Classified Series Thunder Machine is the large roof-mounted cannon assembly. The oversized weapon features twin barrels, with one extending much farther forward than the other, and is mounted on a rotating turret behind the cab. The cannon housing also has some nice mechanical detailing, including smaller cylindrical components along the sides. Just below it, the Thunder Machine retains its distinctive red, white, and blue emergency light bar and four silver roof lights.

The Thunder Machine’s tall red side panel is shown open beside the rear wheel, with a gray tubular rail running around its upper edge.

The long translucent effect piece fades from yellow-orange to deep red, with twisting flame detail running all the way to its pointed tip.

The Thunder Machine’s front end combines a heavy black roll cage with curved metal plow blades, orange running lights, and a skull ornament mounted above the grille. The contrasting red-and-blue body panels retain the modified, cobbled-together look of the original vehicle.

The upper body is packed with weapons, including dual missile launchers, mounted Gatling cannons, and flexible antennas. Small molded rivets and textured armor panels add detail to the vehicle’s distinctive construction.

The missile launchers sit above the rear bodywork, with translucent firing effects extending from the weapons. The rear cargo compartment includes an opening tailgate, providing additional display possibilities for Classified Series figures.

The side profile emphasizes the vehicle’s size, measuring approximately 21.3 inches long, 11.9 inches tall, and 8.1 inches wide. Printed military-style markings and the contrasting red-and-blue armor panels add detail along the sides.

The Thunder Machine can be displayed with firing effects attached to multiple weapons, including the missile launchers and rear cannon. The oversized tires, angular body panels, and exposed mechanical components retain the vehicle’s distinctive Dreadnok appearance.

The red side panels feature molded wear and textured surfaces, contrasting with the blue bodywork and dark wheel assemblies. Translucent blast effects provide another way to display the vehicle’s mounted weapons.

The Thunder Machine’s modular construction allows several exterior components to be removed, including body panels and the front roll cage. This provides options for displaying the vehicle with different combinations of armor and accessories.

The rear-mounted cannon includes a translucent firing effect, while the roof assembly accommodates additional weapons and missile launchers. Molded mechanical details extend across the weapon housings and surrounding body panels.

The front of the Thunder Machine features multiple headlights, a central skull ornament, a black protective roll cage, and the curved plow blades beneath the bumper. The large off-road tires complete the modified truck design.

The rear section includes the mounted Gatling cannon, dual missile launchers, and a cargo area. A mesh-style grille, rear lights, and additional printed markings provide detail across the tailgate and surrounding panels.

The side armor features molded scratches, textured paint applications, and small warning markings. The running board includes a diamond-plate pattern, with additional detailing around the doors and lower body panels.

The oversized rear tire includes molded Dreadnok lettering along the sidewall, with deep tread patterns and detailed wheel hubs. The surrounding fenders feature a rough surface texture that contrasts with the smoother blue panels above.

The opening rear cargo area includes molded floor details and an interior tailgate panel. Small mounting points and handles add functional-looking details to the compartment.

The dual missile launchers feature four ports each, with molded warning markings and removable missile accessories. Translucent firing effects allow collectors to display the launchers in action.

The collection of removable components includes body panels, weapon assemblies, missile accessories, and firing effects. The modular design gives collectors several options for assembling and displaying the vehicle.

The rear Gatling cannon includes a detailed barrel assembly and a translucent firing effect. The weapon mount features additional molded mechanical components.

The accessory assortment includes additional body panels, weapon parts, missiles, and blast effects. These removable pieces allow collectors to customize the Thunder Machine’s appearance.

The vehicle’s dashboard includes a detailed steering wheel, instrument gauges, printed displays, and a collection of controls. The interior detailing continues the modified appearance established throughout the exterior.

The front bumper assembly features a skull ornament, multiple headlights, and curved plow blades with molded mounting details. The heavy roll cage and oversized tires help give the Thunder Machine its distinctive proportions.
