ThunderCats are on the move, ThunderCats are loose! Huge thanks to @actionguy82 for posting these amazing in hand images of the Super7 ThunderCats Deluxe Wave 5 Mumm-Ra, which now IN STOCK on Walmart.com! Wow does this figure look incredible on the shelf! Not only did @actionguy82 post images of the Deluxe Wave 5 Mumm-Ra, but he did an excellent job at comparing it to each to their previous releases! Starting out with Mumm-Ra, this version uses the sculpt from the Light-Up editions, and those colors just pop in a way that feels so much closer to the cartoon appearance we all know and love. I always loved how imposing Mumm-Ra is in the show, and seeing him barely fit on that card really drives home just how massive this figure is, especially at such a great price point for a deluxe release. It’s super exciting to see him looking right at home next to both the Deluxe and Ultimates lines, and the community is clearly already having so much fun getting him up on the shelf. We’ve been covering a lot of great ThunderCats news lately and this one just adds to the excitement around the line. So let’s take a look at the Super7 ThunderCats Deluxe Wave 5 in hand!
Where to Buy
You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Packaging & Figure
The packaging on Mumm-Ra is a tall, narrow card with a dark border and a red gradient banner across the bottom, featuring the classic ThunderCats snake emblem in a bold red circle. You can see how his massive frame fills nearly every inch of the blister, with his red cape and accessories packed tightly around him.
Mumm-Ra’s original blue skin tone really commands attention here on its own, and that orange chest medallion with the snake emblem sits perfectly against the pale blue. The fabric cape has a gorgeous two-tone look, dark navy on the exterior with that bright red lining peeking through wherever the material folds and shifts.
Figure Comparisons
Here’s a closer look at the two versions of Mumm-Ra side by side, and you can really see how the color differences change the feel of each figure. On the left is the new Wave 5 Deluxe figure and the previous Light Up Eyes Ultimates version on the right. The newer release on the right swaps the orange chest medallion and warmer accents for a deeper, more saturated red-maroon tone, while his headpiece picks up brighter reds and blues that give the whole deco a slightly more cartoon-faithful vibe.

Here’s a fun comparison that really highlights the teal-green skin tone on the newer Wave 5 Mumm-Ra on the left versus the brighter, almost powder-blue Light Up Eyes Toy Variant SDCC 2026 exclusive on the earlier release on the right. The cape swap is a big difference too, with the original sporting a navy and white draped cape while the newer version goes full red with those wild, tendril-like extensions radiating off the headpiece and shoulders.

You can see how the loincloth colors differ up close, with the Ultimates Toy Variant on the right is wearing a blue and orange striped wrap trimmed in yellow, while the newer Deluxe Wave 5 on the left goes with a solid red cloth that ties into the rest of his updated deco. The yellow clawed feet and gold shin guards are shared between both, and that sculpted detail on those talons is really impressive.

Here are some fun shots showing how the white wrappings differ between the two releases. The Deluxe Wave 5 Mumm-Ra on the left has brighter, crisper white straps that crisscross his torso, while the original Ultimates version uses a slightly muted, grayer tone on those same wrappings that blends more naturally with his teal skin.

Here we get a look at two light up eyes Mumm-Ra releases grouped together with the new one. It’s a great way to appreciate how the shared sculpt plays completely differently depending on the deco. The newest Deluxe figure is in the center, with his orange chest emblem and white wrappings, splits the difference between the brighter blue version on the left and the teal, red-heavy variant on the right, and seeing all three headpieces together really shows off the variety in the ribbon and horn color combinations.

Mumm-Ra looks absolutely massive flanked by his two alternate Ultimates versions, and the lighter blue skin on the center figure really pops when sandwiched between the darker blue and teal-green variants. I like how the navy cape with its red interior lining drapes heavily behind him, adding a real sense of weight and scale to the whole display.

Finally, we get a group shot showing the full ThunderCats crew assembled together, and Mumm-Ra towers over everyone just like he should. Cheetara, Lion-O, Panthro, Tygra, Jaga, and Vultureman all fill out the roster nicely, but it’s that bright teal skin and red cape combination on Mumm-Ra that immediately pulls your eye to the back of the group.
