Buzz-Off MOTU Mondo Sixth Scale Preorder Information

Looks like Mondo is teasing the inventible preorder of the Buzz-Off Masters of the Universe Mondo sixth scale figure! Mondo will be partnering with the @nerdist for the preorder reveal as they stated on their Instagram page, “Keep an eye on @nerdist for all the exclusive buzz on Monday (12/9) at 10 AM PST!” The website, Nerdist, released more official images, which you can view below!The Mondo Masters of the Universe Buzz-Off figure will set you back $265.00, with estimated shipping around May, 2025. To sweeten the deal like honey, as part of our Mondo Holiday Deals, they are offering $10 off your purchase of $100, $35 off 250 and $50 off $300 at MondoShop.com and And Buzz-Off will count towards those spending thresholds! The pre-order for the Buzz-Off -Timed Edition will be available from Tuesday, December 10 at noon CT through Friday, December 20 at noon CT at MondoShop.com. December 9, 2024 Update: Mondo Buzz-Off Preorder and Official Images

Mondo’s deluxe 1/6 Buzz-Off Figure comes with a standard portrait, an angry portrait, and a helmeted and classic portrait. His weapons include a classic axe, lance, and a large axe and shield. Buzz-Off has swappable claws, and swappable hands, one with an open C-grip.

According to the Nerdist, “Mondo’s Masters of the Universe Buzz-Off figure is brought to you by the Heroic Mondo Warriors who helped design several previous figures hailing from the world of Eternia. Among them are Emiliano Santalucia, Florian Bertmer, Hector Arce, and Peter Santa-Maria (Concept Design). Also Tommy Hodges (Sculpt), Mark Bristow (Paint), Florian Bertmer (Packaging Art), Jordan Christianson (Packaging Design), and Raúl Barrero (Photography). The figure of He-Man’s loyal “Heroic Spy in the Sky” draws inspiration from the classic 1984 Mattel toy, as well as the 2002 reboot.”

The helmeted head adds a really cool look to the figure and gives him a much more fierce appearance than we’ve seen before! Drawing inspiration from the original MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE toy line to 200x and beyond, our definitive Mondo Buzz-Off boasts a brand-new design incorporating an armored exoskeleton over glossy muscular tissue and articulated, translucent wings.

December 6, 2024: Mondo Buzz-Off Tease

Buzz-Off NYCC 2024 Booth Reveal

Revealed at a panel at San Diego Comic Con 2024, Mondo officially reveals the Buzz-Off Masters of the Universe Sixth Scale figure at New York Comic Con 2024 in all of his Andreenids glory! With a design that is heavily influenced by the MYP 200x series, Buzz-Off has so much fine detail that only Mondo can bring out! He comes with 4 heads that pay homage to his versions over years and a gaggle of accessories! Mondo keeps outdoing themselves and Buzz-Off is no exception!

Here are some some close ups of the weapons, extra hands, and alternate head sculpts. You can create several different versions of the figure, which Mondo is known for! He has his classic small axe, large axe, and his jousting spear!

The upper half of Buzz-Off looks phenomenal as he is displayed with a head sculpt with gritting teeth and lots of expression in his face. You can see the texture that is applied to the figure, which gives it a ton of depth and dimension. The shoulder and forearm armor blend in with the chocolate brown pant app of the figure, giving it a very natural look.

The lower half is just as nice as you can see the waist armor and gold belt along with the details in the legs and shin armor. The gold accents are in the right places and really help bring out the details and define the lines for the figure.

The back also has a ton of detail and you can see how the wing attach to the back, which contain circuit detail found in the vintage figure design from the 1980’s. He has a raised collar for his armor, which you can see they have poured a ton of detail into.

Getting a closer look at the back the armor, Buzz-Off’s belt appears removable and you can also see more details in the backs of the legs and boots.

Buzz Off SDCC 2024 Panel Reveal

The next figure to be revealed was Buzz Off. You can see how amazing he looks with those huge yellow wings and big bugs eyes! Although not technically a 200x figure, the look and feel of Buzz Off must have been heavily influenced by the MYP series.
