Buzz-Off MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Card Art Teases Kobra Khan & Mekaneck

With Frosta and Invisible Skeletor’s hi-res card art reveals in the bag, Roy Juarez finishes off Wave 24 MOTU Origins Cartoon collection card art reveals with Buzz-Off! During the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Wave 24 preorder, Buzz-Off’s official image of his card art was the only one missing, which left us wondering why they left the Andreenids’ art for a later reveal. We can only speculate as to why but Buzz-Off’s card art features a major tease that would bring the first Snake Men to the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection as the card art for Buzz-Off shows him attacking Webstor from the sky while Kobra Khan holding Mekaneck hostage! The official art reveal show off the talented work of fetch.franciscoetchart as be illustrates two more potential characters we could see come to the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection!

A closer look at the hi res art work reveals a scene with Buzz-Off shooting an electric charge with his lance at Webstor and we can clearly see the two amazing teases of Kobra Kahn and Mekaneck in this cool scene that pays homage to the Disappearing Dragons episode!

Buzz-Off On Card

Buzz-Off is packed on the She-Ra 40th Anniersary card with his lance on his right side! This figure pays homage to the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe Filmation episode, Disappearing Dragons. It also shows off the amazing and taleted work of fetch.franciscoetchart!

Mekaneck Tease

During the epside, Disappearing Dragons, Mekaneck and Buzz-Off soon discover Kobra Khan and Webstor attempting to capture a dragon with a transporter ray. The two heroes distract the villains long enough for the dragon to escape, but are themselves subdued Mekaneck is bear hugged by Kobra Khan as he tries to make him go to sleep with his gas he releases from his cobra hood.

Kobra Khan Tease

Kobra Khan was a character that essential to the storyline in Disappearing Dragons! “Disappearing Dragons” is the 79th episode of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, written by Larry DiTillio and directed by Ernie Schmidt. In this episode, Granamyr enlists the help of He-Man and Orko to rescue his dragons, who have been captured by Kobra Khan and Webstor. It also marks the debut of Mekaneck and Kobra Khan in the series.

Buzz-Off Official Images

We’ve come across the official images for the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Buzz-Off figure, which will be part of the Wave 23 figure assortment! Buzz Off looks so amazing, like he stepped right out of the Filmation Cartoon Series! This version of Buzz of reminds me of the Super7 Vintage style figure but with all the great articulation of the MOTU Origins line! The Buzz-Off MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection official images reveal some cool details and how the figure was designed plus we get to see what’s been updated from the first image of Buzz-Off, shown below!

With the official images, we can get a sense of the changes from the prototype test shot above and it looks like he pretty much looks the same but with a more polished paint app. We can also see that the visor can be slipped over his eyes!

Getting an alternate look at the visor reveals that it is a small part that is hinged on his head sculpt and we can also see the winged mechanism on his back, which allows the wings to articulate!
