If you are like the thousands of collectors that have had their pristine GI Joe Classified Series Retro Card Back figures packed in a mailer or kicked down the street to your door for delivery, it looks like you’ll get your chance to hunt for them in store. On a routine toy hunt, we spotted a plethora of Walmart planograms in store in pain sight so we snapped some photos and examined them and found something cool! The GI Joe Classified Series Retro Card Back Crimson Guard and Snake Eyes should be hitting Walmart stores in the next aisle reset. Your Walmart store may vary, but, given that these are Walmart exclusives, we’d assume that most Walmarts will be getting the GI Joe Classified Series Retro Card Back figures. In addition to the aforementioned figures, GI Joe Classified Series Shipwreck and Rock N Roll (we are assuming the figures in that wave) will be hitting Walmart stores too. Right now, the pegs are clogged with the first releases of the Baroness, Destro, Gung-Ho, and Lady Jaye so the Crimson Guard and Snake Eyes will be welcomed additions.

Since the Retro Card Back figures card is so large, they usually only fit two rows of pegs right on top of each other, as the planogram indicates.

Walmart Collector Con is coming up on October 6, 2022, 10AM EST, 7AM PST and will most likely feature the last wave of GI Joe Classified Retro figures going up for preorder, which includes the Retro Snake Eyes and Retro Crimson Guard, which were revealed at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. 2022. We will keep you updated and provide links to this wave once it goes up for preorder!
Just like the previous wave of Gung Ho, Destro, Baroness and Lady Jaye, these two figured will feature the same oversized retro GI Joe card featuring the Joe burst explosion, retro waves cross sell on the back and vintage style file cards. The Snake Eyes figure looks to be a reuse of some parts, Stalker’s body and V1 Snake Eye’s head. While the Crimson Guard is simply a repaint of the recently released Crimson Guard.

Retro Cardback Crimson Guard
In a surprise reveal, the Crimson Guard will be coming to the GI Joe Classified Series Retro Cardback line! This was shocking becuase we still have not received the standard figure in hand yet and the figure already looked retro inspired to begin with.

The stand version of the Crimson Guard came out AMAZING!!! The accessories are module and one really surprising accessory they gave him was an officers sword that can plug into and stow on the backpack or his belt, which is a design decision they made mid sculpt. These will look fantastic right night to Tomax and Xamot so really looking forward to this figure.
