Roy Juarez has officially revealed the box, which shows off the amazing illustration of axel.gimenez and the color styling of dc_alonso_colorist. Roy announced on Instagram, “FAKER is no He-Man – he’s the evil blue robotic warrior of Skeletor!”

Here is the amazing artwork on the back of the box as axel.gimenez and dc_alonso_colorist pay homage to Eroll McCarthy, the original illustrator of the MOTU vintage Faker art from the 1980’s.

the shading and illustrations really pay homage to the vintage card art that was on the Faker cardback in the 1980’s, which really bring out the emotion in the scene!

Faker is packed in the Masterverse Vintage Collection window display box with the Power Sword on display to his left! We can also see an illustration of the robotic recorder, which is diecast and removable!

Here is a 360 degree video of the box, that shows off the figure and the art on the back of the box!
Getting an up close shot of the shot of the art, we can see faker tangling with He-Man as Skeletor looks on! It also says, “FAKER is no He-Man – he’s the evil blue robotic warrior of Skeletor.”

Faker Preorder and Official Images
As predicted, Faker will be joining the Masterverse Vintage Collection and will be going up for proerder during Walmart Collector Con March 2025 edition! This version of Faker looks like it is a repaint of the 40th Anniversary He-Man figure, which was a stellar sculpt. Faker will be going up for preorder on Walmart’s website starting March 13, 2025 at 7am PT / 10am ET. Access the Walmart listing here or click on the image below!

Here is the official description and details for the figure: “This Masters of the Universe action figure of Faker joins the Vintage Collection, designed at Masterverse 7-inch scale and inspired by the original MOTU toy design. With 30 points of articulation, this blue-skinned He-Man imposter comes with a power sword, shield and axe, as well as a removable diecast robot recorder in his chest and an extra set of hands. This robotic villain comes beautifully packaged in a window box suitable for display. “

- At 7-inch scale with 30 points of articulation, this Masterverse Vintage Collection Faker action figure has authentic Masters of the Universe design and deluxe details.
- In 1982, Masters of the Universe took the world by storm and captured imaginations from here to Eternia. Today, Masterverse celebrates the original designs in a modern execution as the Vintage Collection.

- He-Man in disguise? Faker is the robotic warrior creation of Skeletor. He may look like the Most Powerful Man in the Universe but remove his harness to reveal the die-cast robotic recorder in his chest!
- Authentic character accessories come with Faker — a Power Sword, a shield, an axe and an extra set of hands.

Faker Coming to the Masterverse Vintage Collection
We’ve done some spelunking on Walmart’s website and have come across a listing for a Masterverse Vintage Collection Faker, which has yet to be announced or revealed. With a Vintage Collection Skeletor and Zodac revealed, and our report of a yellow skinned Evil-Lyn making her way to the line, Faker adds yet another Evil Warrior to the mix and we can’t wait to see how this figure will turn out! As the Masterverse Vintage Collection artwork is heavily drawing upon inspiration from the artist Errol McCarthy, we can get a sense of what the box art will look as well as the figure as we revisit the Masters of the Universe Classics design. With Faker coming to the line, this will pave the way for The Most Powerful Man in the Universe as we are sure he will be a repaint of Faker. Who will come first is a mystery but Faker is definitely coming and we hope to see him make an appearance when Mattel drops their new figure assortments and reveals in March 2025. We’ve only seen these figures offered at Walmart, which makes us think that this line will be exclusive to the online retailer until we hear otherwise.
Faker Vintage Artwork
We are hoping that @natebaertschart continues to lend his mad skills to the box art as the iconic scene, first illustrated by Errol McCarthy shows clash between Faker and The Most Powerful Man in the Universe. The atmospheric glow behind Faker is executed with subtlety, effectively distinguishing him from the surrounding background. He-Man, in stark contrast, is depicted with an unusually intense, even murderous, expression, adding tension to the scene. While McCarthy’s illustrations are typically restrained in their portrayal of physical conflict, this image suggests an underlying threat of violence. The implied aggression, rather than overt brutality, reflects McCarthy’s ability to evoke a powerful emotional response while maintaining the aesthetic balance and composure characteristic of his work.

MOTU Classics Faker
The basic sculpt here is identical to the MOTU Classics He-Man figure, from his boots to his gauntlets—and honestly, that’s exactly how it should be! This is who the character is, and changing anything beyond a straight repaint would be a mistake. Sure, I have some gripes about paying premium prices for a repaint, but altering the core figure would’ve been the wrong move. Now, what does stand out is the addition of Skeletor’s armor! The piece that covers his shoulders and torso is a direct reuse from the Skeletor figure, just like the original. But that’s what makes it faithful to the original, and the Classics line is all about staying true to that retro charm.

This version of Faker, who came with a gaggle of weapons and extra heads, was designed by Super7 for the Ultimate line!
