A Hooded freakin Cobra Commander! The packaging for the Cobra Commander with Throne Set is built around an elaborate snake motif, with coiling golden serpents framing the window on all sides and a large Cobra emblem anchoring the bottom of the box. Inside, the figure sits on a sculpted throne alongside a healthy spread of accessories including a cobra-headed staff, a dagger, a submachine gun, a grenade, and a red cape. And if you were wondering, Hasbro has confirmed that the crown is removeable!

The card artwork on the side panel depicts Cobra Commander in a dramatic, fiery scene, striding forward with staff in hand and his cape billowing behind him. That illustration has a real comic book intensity to it, with rich oranges and deep blacks!

The back of the box features painted artwork of Cobra Commander seated on his throne in a dimly lit chamber, flanked by fire-lit braziers and a massive golden cobra hood rising behind him. The whole composition leans into that classic villain-on-a-throne energy, and honestly, it’s one of the better packaging illustrations Hasbro has done for the Classified line.

Cobra Commander sits upon a massive golden cobra throne, its open hood towering behind him with intricate filigree scrollwork, inset red gems, and a Cobra sigil mounted at its center. The red fabric cape drapes dramatically over the seat and down past the base, while a small golden snake coils in his grip, completing a scene that feels like it belongs in a villain’s war room.

Clad in his deep blue uniform, the red Cobra sigil on his chest contrasts sharply against the dark fabric, and his black leather-like boots have a laced-up sculpt that carries real texture. A gold crown sits atop his hood, paired with gold braided epaulettes across his shoulders and a utility belt with a circular gold buckle that ties the regal and military elements together nicely.

Here’s a closer look at the hood itself, and you can see how the fabric folds are sculpted with soft, natural creases that drape down over his collar and chest. The red detailing around his eye slit adds a menacing pop of color, and those gold buttons running down the front of his tunic have a tiny sculpted depth to them that really rewards a closer look. You will note on other photos that the crown is indeed removeable!

Cobra Commander’s scepter is a real showpiece, with a cobra head topper that mirrors the throne’s motif and a long gold shaft that gives the figure serious vertical presence when seated. I like how the black gloves have a segmented, almost armored look to them, with sculpted ridges across the knuckles and fingers that contrast against all that polished gold.

Wrapped in his floor-length cape, you get a great view of the diamond-quilted scale texture stitched across the entire exterior, with just a hint of red lining peeking out near the hem. The throne’s red upholstered seat cushion has a tufted, padded look to it, and those smaller cobra figures flanking the armrests sit coiled on the base platform with their hoods flared wide.

Something I appreciate here is the small gold serpent draped across his chest, its body sculpted with fine individual scales and a slightly translucent amber color that makes it feel distinct from the gold metallic accessories. His pistol is compact and matte black, a no-nonsense sidearm that keeps things grounded amid all the ornamental excess.

Cobra Commander looks right at home stepping away from his throne with that pistol raised, and the holster strapped to his thigh has a small buckle and textured strap detail that I hadn’t noticed before. The gold trim running along the seams of his tunic catches your eye when seen against the darker blue of his legs, where a subtle crosshatch fabric texture separates the upper and lower halves of the uniform.

A close-up reveals the gold crown resting on the armrest, its open, flame-like prongs flanking a sculpted central eye motif that feels appropriately sinister at this scale. The black reptilian texture of the cape pooling over the throne’s edge has a rich, pebbled grain to it, and those burnt orange tassels hanging from his epaulette add a surprising warmth against the deep blue sleeve.

Cobra Commander in front of his throne with scepter nearby is a moment that sells the full scope of this set, and the red cape lining practically glows against the ornate gold backrest. I’m really digging how the belt holster sits snugly against his hip with a small securing strap, and the contrast between the matte black accessories and all that gold ornamentation keeps the whole look from tipping too far into excess.

Here’s a closer look at the throne on its own, and the sheer density of sculpted detail across this thing is impressive. Each armrest terminates in a small cobra head with an open mouth, while the base features a woven snake-scale texture and intertwined serpent bodies coiling around each other beneath the seat.

You can see how the back of the throne is dominated by that enormous cobra hood, covered entirely in individually sculpted scales that have a satisfying, almost metallic gold sheen. The tangled mass of serpent bodies forming the rear support is wild, with each snake’s body wrapping and overlapping in a dense knot of coils, and those pale, milky eyes on the hood give it a genuinely eerie, almost idol-like quality.

Cobra Commander’s blue uniform is trimmed with gold and black across the chest, shoulders, and collar, with a large red Cobra sigil front and center. The throne is a massive piece, covered in intricate serpent relief carvings, a hooded cobra forming the backrest, and a red cushioned seat flanked by smaller snake figures along the armrests and base.

The full accessory spread is laid out here alongside the figure and throne: a cobra-headed staff, a smaller cobra-headed scepter, a dagger, a submachine gun, and four swap-out hands offering different grip and gesture options. That soft goods cape has real fabric weight to it, draping all the way to the ground with a deep red interior and a gold shoulder cord securing it at the collar.

Cobra Commander’s helmet has a clean sculpt with the faceplate’s horizontal ridges sharply defined, and the gold crown piece sits flush against the red hood beneath it. A small cobra-headed scepter rests against one of the throne’s armrests, its sculpted snake head matching the larger serpent motifs carved into the seat.

May 28, 2026 Tease
Here are some fun shots of Cobra troopers gathered around a massive BBTS shipping box, and I love the sense of scale here. It’s a great little tease for the upcoming Cobra Commander with Throne set, with the troops seemingly awaiting their leader’s arrival.
You can see Cobra Troopers prying open a BBTS box and what will they find inside?
Here’s a closer look at one of the troopers working to pry open that shipping box, with a dark tool gripped tightly and wedged against the cardboard flap.
I like how this shot pulls back to show the full squad of Cobra troopers converging on the box, their helmeted silhouettes creating a real sense of anticipation for the Cobra Commander with Throne set teased inside. The warm glow spilling from the open box catches beautifully against the cool blue-grey tones of their armor, and you can really appreciate just how many troopers they’ve packed into this scene.
It’s cool to see the big reveal moment here, with Cobra Commander’s hand lifting a gold cobra statue wrapped around a globe rising dramatically from the open shipping box. The two troopers flanking the box on either side sell the ceremony of the moment, their smooth helmets framing the commander’s emergence.
A simple teaser graphic sets the stage with “Coming Ssssssoon” spelled out in golden serpentine lettering, leaning into Cobra Commander’s signature hiss. It’s a fun, minimal piece of marketing that builds anticipation without giving anything else away.
