The Curse of the Three Terrors MOTU Origins Concepts
Leave it Mr. Home Arcade to ring in Halloween 2024 in the only way he knows how…with showcasing Masters of the Universe Origins concept figures! The MOTU Origins line is all about paying homage to the figures we grew up with in the 1980’s that had a limited amount of articulation. Since Super7 created their vintage Masters of the Universe line, they followed the same style of 5 points of articulation and they followed the same recipe for their Curse of the Three Terrors figures. Using a design created by thesecretsoforko, Mr. Home Arcade has recreated this figures in MOTU Origins style form and function for everyone’s viewing pleasure and we hope everyone has a happy safe Halloween!
Curse of the Three Terrors Background
Terror Bat, the Shrieking Undead Warrior, Terror Jaguar, the Snarling Undead Warrior, and Terror Wolf, the Howling Undead Warrior, were produced by Super7 from their MOTU vntage line and were authentically detailed vintage-style Masters of the Universe action figure. Each figure stood 5.5″ tall with soft plastic armor and battle axe. Each Terror Bat action figure is packaged in a traditional MOTU-shaped blister on a vintage-accurate card.

“The Curse of the Three Terrors” is the first new Filmation-style M.O.T.U. animation produced since 1985 and was created by Super7 under our partnership with Mattel. It features the original voice of Skeletor, Alan Oppenheimer!

Curse of the Three Terrors MOTU Origins Concepts
Terror Bat, Terror Jaguar, and Terror Wolf’s armor sculpts, head sculpts, and weapons look outstanding! Like the Super7 figures that proceeded these, the armor lays over the shoulders of the figure and are cast in bright colors.

Taking a look at the rear of the figures, the armor hangs over the upper part of the back and the armor has a cool spider web design on the back.

Each face is designed to glow in dark, as pictured below, which is an enhancement to the Super7 versions that did not have this feature.

Terror Bat
Here is the Super7 Terror Bat for reference and he looks like a creepy combo of demon and bat.

The Terror Bat MOTU Origins concept recreates the look and feel of the Super7 figure! The battle axe looks like the blade is covered in a spider web with a bone handle. Mr. Home Arcade used the MOTU Origins Palace Guards for the chest, Kobra Khan’s arms and legs and applied color to the feet and waist in a dark green. The belt is colored orange and viola!

Terror Jaguar
Terror Jaguar originally comes with the same armor but cast in red and had a color scheme that resembled Skeletor’s.

The Terror Jaguar MOTU Origins concept is cast in purple and has red armor and a spiked club with a bone handle. Mr. Home Arcade used the MOTU Origins Faker waist peice and colored in the belt a bright green. For the body, he used a Samurai Skeletor body with Dragon Blaster Skeletor’s feet.

Terror Wolf
Terror Wolf had the most interesting color scheme out of the bunch and featured a baby blue and violet color scheme.

The Terror Wolf MOTU Origins concept features a stellar print of the sword with the spider crossguard! He also features the glow in the dark face like the others and the hair on the wolf head sculpt looks very natural! Mr. Home Arcade used Stratos’ body and painted the belt purple.
