MOTU GI Joe Target drops October 2023: Tiger Force Flint, Python Patrol Vypra, Masterverse Slush Head and the MOTU Origins RoS 3-Pack
Based on piecing information from info from our sources, our own intel, and @chaztheguru, there are some great figures Target will be dropping some great figures on October 1, 2023! Figures from the GI Joe Classified Series from the Python Patrol and Tiger Force sublines and Masters of the Universe Masterverse and Origins figures are due out soon!
GI Joe Classified Series
Tiger Force Flint and Pyhon Patrol Vypra are hitting Target stores on October 1, 2023. As collector’s, like @chaztheguru, are inquiring about the figures, they are getting street dated! Your stores may vary and if they let you purchase these figures, more power to you!
GI Joe Classified Series Tiger Force Flint & Pyhon Patrol Vypra
Fresh off their reveals from SDCC 2023, the new GI Joe Classified Series Tiger Force Flint & Cobra Vypra Preorders have gone up on both Hasbro Pulse and Target! We have the preorder links below. And yes these will be Target and Hasbro Pulse exclusives! It looks like Flint has come and gone on Hasbro’s website, but you can still order Flint and Cobra Vypra from Target! Target shows an October 1st release date on these, but Hasbro Pulse shows Novemeber 1st. These are both on Hasbro’s website as well. See below for all the preorder information.
Tiger Force Flint
Tiger Force Flint will be a Target exclusive like the other Tiger Force figures before him. His paint app harkens back to his vintage figure although they went a little cray cray with the black across his eyes! But the figure looks cool, and he has sold out already on both Target and Hasbro!

Cobra Vypra
It is great to see what this elusive Cobra Vypra in here Python Patrol colors looks like as there was not a counterpart in the vintage line.

Masters of the Universe
Masterverse Slush Head
A quick scan at Target revealed the street date for the upcoming Masterverse Slush Head figure! According to the PDA from Target, the street date for this figure to hit stores is October 1, 2023, which is right around the corner! This lines up with the online release date but sometimes these figures show up on different dates so it’s great to get confirmation and it appears that the stars are aligned and the street dates match up! I’d be surprised if this figure has not been seen on shelves as I’m sure there is ample supply of these figures in the back stockroom as they are preparing for the release of this oddball character.
In Hand Images
Thanks to motu_shredder on Instagram, we fan feast our eyes on one of the bizarre Masterverse figures created to date! He posted box shots and a few in hand images! This figure is due to hit Target stores in October so it’s great to see how this figure came out so early! Slush looks amazing and he comes with a gaggle of accessories, making him worthy of being a deluxe figure! The art that was revealed by Roy Juarez and team back in June looks stunning!
The color scheme came out great and it appears that Slush head has a shinier paint app on his armor. The accessories and attachments look so cool on him, giving you so many ways to display and pose him.
Stripped to the basics, we can get a good look at Slush Head’s buck and how his armor and accessories go together.
motu_shredder thinks the color of Slush Heads body resembles the vintage Dragon Walker and he is right! The color is pretty spot on!
Alternate Body
Slush Head was designed to display like a standard MOTU Masterverse figure and a creepy being with a floating head!
MOTU Classics Comparison
Like a lot of the MOTU Classics figures, the Masterverse versions look very similar and Slush Head is no exception. The Masterverse figures are taller and have more texture and detail on the skin. It also appears that the paint app on the Masterverse figure has a nice sheen to it. The skin tone is also lighter on the Masterverse figure but other than that, they look very similar.
Box and Art Reveal
Roy Juarez is batting 1000 this week as he has released yet another reveal of the art and this time it’s Masterverse! The MOTU team has been hard at work creating amazing box art to feast our eyes on and this time it is Slush Head’s time in the sun as they revealed the amazing box art! It was only yesterday when Slush Head went up for preorder on Target’s website and now we get to see the full box art…what a treat!
Slush Head comes in the deluxe Masterverse window display box and he looks amazing! Usually there us a bio that accompanies the box art but we are guessing this is the international box so we’ll get to see the bio on the US box soon.

Slush Head (also known as Kalamarr) was a Mutant enforcer under the leadership of Flogg. Despite his general stupidity, Slush Head serves as the second in command to Flogg, and the co-pilot of the Mutant Mothership.

Masters of the Universe Origins Rulers of the Sun 3-Pack: Kikto, Holographo, and Zap-Man
Special thanks to Toy Habits Crew Member Rob2023 for the heads up that the Target exclusive Rulers of the Sun 3-Pack, which has Kikto, Zap-Man, and Holographo, is hitting Target stores. This set has been frustrating for some collectors, including myself, that have had their preorders canceled or delayed by Target but fear not, I am sure these sets will be warming shelves soon, like the previous 3-Pack release. So far this 3-Pack has been sited in Memphis and Ohio and with Slush Head’s Masterverse street date being October 1, 2023, we are wondering if this Rulers of the Sun 3-Pack will be showing up soon!

Target has put up the new RoS 3-Pack that contains Kikto, Holographo, and Zap-Man!
The box art for this 3-Pack is outstanding as usual and they come in similar styled packing as the first RoS 3-Pack!
Holographo
Holographo, the Futuristic Scientist, is another unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure and makes a fanastic addition to the line!
Kikto
Kikto is another unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure and he is the “expert kick boxer.”
Zap-Man
Zap-Man is another unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure and he is the “Micro-Laser Specialist.”
Roy Juarez is back at it again and this time he revealed the box art for the soon to be released Target exclusive Rulers of the Sun 3-pack featuring Kikto, Holographo, and Zap-Man. These are the last Rulers of the Sun figures to be produced for the MOtU Origins line, which are coming out at the end of July 2023.

The art is absolutely stellar and it shows Kikto, Holographo, and Zap-Man battling some red Demon creatures. We are not sure if these red Demon creatures will be made into figures but anything is possible.
The back of the box is the money shot! We now have a full illustration of the Rulers of the Sun line, which is an homage to the original way the promo shots were photographed in the vintage Rulers of the Sun line.
The panel features all of the Rulers of the sun figures and it is a gorgeous piece of art!

We first heard about this leak from a UK toy site but they since have removed the listings so all we have is the product page for these ones, which were leaked back in December 2022.

We are getting yet another Rulers of the Sun 3 pack, and these guys look amazing! This 3 pack comes with Holographo, Kikko, and Zap Man Let’s look at their official images. Holographo, the Futuristic Scientist, is another unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure and will make a fanastic addition to the line! Kikto is another unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure and he is the “expert kick boxer.” It stands to reason that Mattel will be creating all of the figures from the Rulers of the Sun line and you can see Kikto below! Zpman is another unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure and he is the “micro laser specialist.” It stands to reason that Mattel will be creating all of the figures from the Rulers of the Sun line and you can see the official images of Zap Man below!
