Hordak New Etheria Masterverse Wave 18 In-Hand Images
Thanks to Jason Cage, we now have an up-close look at the New Eternia Masterverse Hordak figure from Wave 18, as he’s sent over a fresh set of in-hand images that showcase the Evil Horde leader in all his sinister glory. This follow-up comes on the heels of his earlier post revealing the in-box image of Hordak, which gave collectors their first glimpse at the dramatic box art and a full view of the back of the packaging. Now, we can finally take a detailed look at the figure itself—armor, accessories, and all!
Packaging
The front of the packaging features a dramatic illustration of Hordak flanked by swarms of bats, setting the tone for his dark and ominous presence. The figure itself is clad in black and red armor with a bold Horde emblem across his chest, and comes with a blaster arm, red staff, and a set of impressive, detachable bat-like wings. The “New Etheria” branding is prominently displayed, tying this figure into the evolving mythos of the MOTU universe. The back of the box offers a full view of the Hordak figure in a dynamic pose, highlighting his mechanical arm cannon, layered armor, and menacing head sculpt. Several inset images show off his alternate display options, including wielding his staff and spreading his crimson wings for a more imposing silhouette. His bio describes him as the “ruthless leader of the Evil Horde,” now expanding his conquest into New Etheria.

Figure Details
These in-hand images of the Masterverse New Etheria Hordak figure from Wave 18 showcase a striking reimagining of the ruthless Horde leader. Hordak features a menacing skull-like face with red eyes and sharp facial contours, accentuated by a high black collar and detailed chest armor with red accents. His sculpted musculature and bat-like red wings give him a fierce, demonic presence, while his armored gauntlets and clawed feet add to his battle-ready aesthetic.

From these side views, we can see that comes equipped with a long red and gray staff coiled with a serpent-like detail that forms a bat on the end of his staff and a matching red bat-shaped shield with a raised Horde emblem.

The translucent wings and bold red-and-black color scheme tie this version of Hordak to his Etherian roots while bringing a fresh look to the Masterverse line.

In this dynamic in-hand shot of the New Etheria Hordak from Masterverse Wave 18, Jason adds a dramatic touch by equipping the figure with the red blast effect from the original Masterverse Hordak release. The effect fits seamlessly into the arm cannon, giving Hordak an even more menacing and action-ready appearance. His red wings are flared, and his sharp, angular armor combined with the powerful pose highlights the figure’s imposing design. This clever accessory reuse adds extra depth to the display and really brings out the versatility of the Masterverse line.
