Laser Light Skeletor MOTU Origins Mattel Creations Exclusive Teased

Mattel Creations has teased an upcoming Deluxe Laser Light Skeletor figure as a Club Grayskull exclusive, and I can’t be more excited. This one drops on October 12, 2026, at 9:00am PT and will only be available through October 13, 2026, at 8:59am PT, exclusively for Club Grayskull members at MattelCreations.com while supplies last, so mark those calendars! For those who remember, Laser Light Skeletor was one of the most iconic late-era vintage MOTU figures, and seeing him get the Origins Deluxe treatment is super exciting. The original was always such a striking figure with that clear chest piece and light-up feature, and I always loved how he stood out from the rest of the Skeletor variants. The fact that Mattel is reaching into that deep cut corner of the vintage line for Origins just shows how committed they are to giving us the full breadth of Eternia’s greatest villains. This is going to be a hot one, collectors. Club Grayskull exclusives tend to move fast, so make sure your membership is active and your alarm is set. So let’s take a look at the Laser Light Skeletor MOTU Origins Mattel Creations Exclusive!

Laser Light Skeletor looks incredible here, draped in a deep navy cape over that classic light blue skin, with a bronzed chest armor piece covered in intricate tech-inspired detailing. His skull face glows a vivid neon green with piercing red eyes, and that translucent red staff alongside the light-up feature has me genuinely excited to see this one in person.

Here’s a closer look at the sneak preview teaser for Laser Light Skeletor, and you can just make out some tantalizing details lurking behind that Club Grayskull logo. Those dark navy gauntlets with red accents at the wrists and what appears to be heavily textured brown armor peeking through have me counting down to the full reveal.

A close-up reveals the translucent red staff has a layered, almost crystalline sculpt with notched crossguard-like details and a segmented shaft. The bronze armor section on the right shows a small ram skull motif nestled among ornamental scrollwork, a subtle callback to Skeletor’s classic iconography that I think is a really nice touch.

Previous Teases

We saw Laser Light Skeletor teased on the Eternia box are along with Laser Power He-Man, which of course were both parts of the Powers of Grayskull! Both were prominently featured on the Eternia package artwork, you can see Laser Light Skeletor battling against Laser Power He-Man! But he too was previously teased on the Camo Khan Card art as well!

Laser Light Skeletor is featured very prominently on the back of Camo Khan’s card back art! He can be seen multiple times illustrated throughout the comic. He is seen shooting out his laser beam, sitting on his throne and commanding his evil henchmen Camo Khan to attack! One of the rarest of the original vintage action figures, Laser Light Skeletor is a sought after a very expensive vintage figure to acquire. If Mattel were to release him in the Origins line, I think fans would be totally over the moon with excitement!

Vintage Laser Light Skeletor

Laser Light Skeletor was one of the two remaining deluxe release figures of the vintage Masters of the Universe line in 1988. He had light up eyes and a light up hand. The light up feature was activated by lifting his right arm, and his havoc staff was semitranslucent, so it was supposed to lit up while he held it in his right hand.

Here you can see the vintage actual figure out of package. He came with a battery powered backpack and a red light up Havoc Staff!

By the time this figure was released, the line’s popularity had died out in the United States, so it was released in Europe. Today, Laser Light He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor are of the highest valued figures of the entire MOTU vintage line and fetch triple digits!

Laser-Light Skeletor, released in Italy and Spain a year after the end of the Masters of the Universe toyline in the US, was a figure most North American fans were not aware of until they discovered it online years later. That was certainly true for me. Because the figure was produced in limited numbers overseas, it’s one of the most expensive vintage He-Man toys to acquire today. (Update: I’m also informed that there was some distribution of Laser Light Skeletor in Switzerland. Thanks to Olmo for the information.)
