Update: GI Joe Classified Series March 2025 Preorders and Reveals

With the GI Joe Day 2025 reveals back on February 1, 2025, we are excited to see a GI Joe Classified Series FanStream! Originally scheduled for on the books for February 18, 2025, the Joe team made a correction and the new date is March 18, 2025. Hasbro announced on their Instagram, “Looks like the Dreadnoks got their hands on our communications and tried to sabotage the mission. But G.I. Joe is always ready—so we’re moving the G.I. Joe Fanstream to March 18th at 11:00am ET to make it bigger and better than ever! Stay sharp, stay on guard, and report to the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel next month for new and exclusive reveals that will whip your collection into shape. Yo Joe! 💥” The official images have been released and this drop will consists of Footloose, Darklon, Blowtorch, Frag Viper, and Law & Order! We also got more digital render reveals and name only reveals today!

Preorders

Preorder will go live at 10am PT / 1pm ET and we’ve added links to our Amazon Shop and Entertainment Earth’s Drop Zone for now. We’ll update the links as they go live on Big Bad Toy Store and Hasbro Pulse when they become available.

Name Only Reveals

Some not so surprising name only reveals were dropped today! We did get previously leaked images so we knew these names were dropping soon! Below is the photo from the previous leak we got earlier with legs, moving right to left of Slice, Battle Armor Cobra Commander, Monkeywrench, The Legacy Firefighter and Major Bludd.

Battle Armor Cobra Commander

Along with the leaked leg pic, we also saw some images of his prototype head sculpt, along with Major Bludd. Here we can see a side profile of Battle Armor Cobra Commander’s head, and his leg in a painted prototype sample.

Major Bludd

Major Bludd’s head sculpt has surfaced, thanks to Shaw Li via thefullforcepodcast on Instagram. You can clearly see Cobra Commander’s Battle Armor helmet with the large Cobra logo on his forehead. Next to him is Major Bludd, but his eye patch looks very modern and not like the original vintage figure, so it begs the question if he will indeed be a Retro Cardback released?

Mercer with Sgt. Slaughter

Mercer will come in a Renegades 2-pack with SGT. Slaughter!

Here comes another early G.I. Joe Classified Series figure, this time featuring Mercer, one of Slaughter’s Renegades coming by the way of Shaw Liú that was posted in the GI Joe Classified Community on Facebook! Up until Toy Fair 2025, the GI Joe leaks were flowing and it seems like they’ve resumed with this latest prototype of the Mercer’s upper torso. The tale tell signs that this figure is Mercer is the holster on the left side of the torso plus the circle directly above it. Not much is known about the context of this figure so that got us thinking that they could be working on developing SGT. Slaughter’s Renegades and Mercer is the first one out of the gate OR could they be working on a future 3-pack, which would also feature Taurus and Red Dog?

Will the figure be Sunbow inspired? All signs are pointing to yes as there is a circle on his left part of his chest that could be reserved for a “no Cobra” logo, as it appeared in the GI Joe animated cartoon.

Digital Render Reveals

We also got treated to four new digital render reveals with Snake Eyes v4, Hawk + MMS, Retro BAT, and Retro GI Joe Trooper.

Snake Eyes v4

Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Snake Eyes is always a welcome addition to my GIJ shelf. This v4 was such an awesome departure from his all black looks too. This guys got a whole lotta nostalgia for me.”

Retro Card GI Joe Trooper

Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Very excited to bring some Joe troops to the line. Swappable head neck and hands along with helmet for the Joe fans to troop build to their hearts content. Too often Cobra gets all the troop building fun.” Comes with swappable heads and hands. A great trooper builder.

Retro Card Back BAT

Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Love bringing back their classic looks. You’ll see some differences between this and the original mainline release. Yellow is a brighter pop and the chest shields now in clear.” Chest plate is clear and chest plate colors match the vintage ARAH figure. The yellows are much brighter as well. They include some blast effects as well.

MMS with Hawk

Officially revealed by thegreattonino, “Stoked to get that younger look for Hawk and the Vamp is going to look SICK with the MMS towing behind it. This set feels so GIJ to me.” We finally see a repaint of the HMS and this will be something to tow behind the VAMP! Hawk is a younger version of the character. It will be an Amazon exclusive.

We got an amazing view of Cold Slither Zartan from the SDCC 2025 exclusive box set!

Cold Slither Packaging

As the Hasbro team is telling the story of Cold Slither with the packaging, they said there are many Dreadnock Easter eggs on the exterior. The figures will be blistered inside the packaging and will be able to display as if they are performing on stage. The box is labeled “The Springfield Theater”.

The Joe team did not “open the box” during the live stream but this was shown at Toy Fair 2025. Looks like all 4 figures will be an amazing display! Zartan and Buzzer are front and center!

Cobra SNAKE Battle Armor

Iconic Mech Suit. The mech suit is articulated and the figure can sit inside the seat.

Here we can see how the figure can enter the mech suit and get up into the seated area.

Here we can see just how large the SNAKE Armor is when Lenny pulled them out during the Fanstream!

This will be a Hasbro pulse exclusive. In order to keep costs down, no figures come with the SNAKE Armor.

We get an incredible look at the upcoming GI Joe Snake armor. You can see how the figure will be able to sit inside the upper torso area. There is a seat belted seat inside and kind of reminds me of a Trubble Bubble cockpit space. The SNAKE Battle Armor is know as a mechanized force of destruction, Cobra’s latest battlefield innovation in 6-inch scale and more menacing than ever.

They are in mustard and ketchup colors. Comes with a M.A.S.S device hard water container. Clear blue and green lens on the diver masks. You can swap figures heads on the diver’s bodies. Target & Hasbro Pulse exclusive!

Footloose

Leaves look like they are on his helmet. He looks a bit more low key and zen. Head to toe camo and very true to the A Real American Hero vintage figure. Love the mustache and his face sculpt looks great.

Footloose comes with his classic helmet, backpack, rifle, pistol, knife, rocket, and launcher.

He’s posed with his rifle in a forrest scene with his rocket launcher strapped to his back! He must have sensed Cobra as he looks like he is in pursuit!

Stopping to rest, Footloose is in a zen pose in the forrest but lookout! It appears Cobra is near him!

Footloose looks amazing loading and getting ready to fire his rocket as he zero’s in on Cobra!

Footloose came out so much better than his digital render! His head sculpt looks unique, and not like Pedro Pascal’s. His cammoflauge came out stunning and his uniform details really pop!

Blowtorch

Color updates from his 1980’s ARAH figure which are a little muted from the vintage original. He includes a flame thrower and multiple flame effects. Has a rebreather and gas mask. His outfit has fire retardant padding.

He comes with a removable helmet that has multiple pieces.

Blowtorch comes packed with his helmet, mask, pistol, blowtorch, backpack, hose, and flame effects!

Blowtorch is armed and ready as he is in a fiery scene gunning for Cobra!

The flame effects look amazing has he is backlit by the fire that surrounds him!

The reused effects from Torch look amazing on his blowtorch as he is posed, ready for mop-up!

Taking a look at Blowtorch all packed, he looks great. It looks like same fire effects and backpack that came with the Dreaknock, Torch. Close of views of below where you can see Blowtorch’s face mask, which looks amazing! You can also see a close up of his awesome fire suit including the cool details of his vest and leg gear. Blowtorch was part of the 1984 series and cartoon and featured a very unique armor sculpt with orange-red pads on chest, arms, legs, and feet. The colors are what attracted me (Michael) to this figure when I was kid and he was my all time favorite figure in the so of course I would selfishly love to see him make the Classified Series and now he is coming!

The Blowtorch digital render has been revealed, taking his off the name only list! He looks so classic and his fire suit is updated while retaining that lego brick feeling we loved from the vintage line!

Darklon

He has been updated from his vintage look to have a more Classified look. He has grenadines around his calf, and on his has a removable dagger. He comes with a large sword that harken back to his Scottish vibes.

Here are some shots of his alternate head sculpt.

Darklon, part of the Iron Grenadier faction, comes packed with a pistol, knife, extra head sculpt, gatling gun, sword, and sheath.

He is set in the same forrest scene as the rest of the figures as he must be one of the two the Joes are hunting for!

Darklon’s sword looks amazing on his back has he pulls it out, ready to strike!

We get an up close and personal look at his head sculpts and highly detailed sword!

Darklon, a member of the Iron Grenadiers, came out amazing! We can see how his alternate head sculpt came out and he looks downright nasty!

Darklon

Darklon was a cool reveal as he came packed with a vehicle back in the 80’s so it’s cool that they are making him into a stand alone figure to beef up Destro’s Iron Grenadier faction!

Frag Viper

Troop Builder that resembles the ARAH figure. Wearing a blue sash and web gear.

There is a cord that the balls travel throw to go thru to the thrower.

Frag Viper comes with his helmet with hose attached, uzi, backpack, hose, and grenade lobber!

He looks so classic as his entire figure pays homage to his vintage design!

This is a serious army builder has as you can see a battalion of troops descend on the Joes to do some series damage!

His unhelmeted head leans into his cyborg makeup and it’s great to finally see who is under the helmet!

Frag Viper was also revealed and he looks just like his vintage figure! He comes with his classic grenade lobber and his classic colors!

Law and Order

Law has red hair and true to his ARAH look. He comes with a com system that is pluggable onto his vest and has a cord that he can hold in his hand. Order comes with a super cute good boy face. The alternate hands are sculpted. Hand gestures that represent dog commands.

Here is a back shot of his vest and rear of the figures!

Law and Order comes packed with a gaggle of hands that are real gestures for a police dog. The set also comes with Law’s helmet, pistol, uzi, batton, knife, and handcuffs. Order comes with an alternate portrait and a mask!

Law and Order look amazing together as they hunt for Cobra in the forrest!

We can see how you can pose the two figures and the myriad of ways you can display them with their helmets and masks on or off.

Up close you can see how Law’s handcuffs fit on his belt and it looks like Order has snagged himself a Frag Viper!

You can see him a pose trying to hold back Order with his baton under his right arm ready for action! And Order looks like he is wearing a doggie face mask of some sort. What incredible detail!

Law and Order comes with a great loadout and Order comes with two head sculpts!
