Laser Light Skeletor MOTU Origins Mattel Creations Official Images and Preorder Info

Official images are up but preorder is not live yet for Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Laser Light Skeletor, and the dates are important here. Club Grayskull members get first access through Mattel Creations on October 12, 2026, at 9:00 am PT, while the preorder opens to everyone else on October 13 at 9:00 am PT. The figure is priced at $33, and Mattel lists October 12, 2026, at 9:00 am PT as the release/ship date. This follows our earlier Laser Light Skeletor teaser coverage and the broader MOTU SDCC 2026 panel reveals. Now the official images give us a much better look at the 5.5-inch figure, including the removable soft goods cape, translucent Havoc Staff, and red light-up eyes and right hand. That lighting feature is wonderfully over the top for Skeletor, especially with the glow extending beyond his face to the hand holding his weapon. He also has 16 points of articulation and comes with a mini comic telling another Skeletor tale.

Masters of the Universe Origins Deluxe Laser Light Skeletor

The package artwork throws Skeletor into a wild energy battle with Laser Power He-Man, with red light blazing from his eyes and right hand while the Havoc Staff glows overhead. Through the window, that bright green skull, removable soft goods cape, and translucent Havoc Staff make the “Super Laser Light Action” so cool.

The big story on the back of the package is the artwork, which appears to tease both Blade and Saurod among Skeletor’s forces. Neither character has been announced for MOTU Origins yet, so their inclusion here is definitely interesting and could be our first hint that Mattel has plans to bring them into the line.

The Mini comic, “The Moons of Peril,” gives Skeletor the cover, looming over a group of heroes with pink energy curling from both hands. That huge skull grin bearing down on everyone makes this wonderfully crowded illustration work.

Skeletor’s bronze chest armor is wonderfully overbuilt, with curling horn shapes, thick tubing, and a circular device layered across his torso. Matching bracers and heavily sculpted boots carry that detail down the body, while a tiny skull decorates the red belt.

With the light-up feature switched on, Skeletor’s eyes glow deep red while his right hand burns orange-red. The eyes are the stronger effect for me, giving that fixed skull grin a wonderfully eerie spark of life.

The deep furrows in Skeletor’s forehead run into sharply angled black eye sockets, while the fine vertical lines across his teeth give the skull sculpt an especially severe expression.

The huge curled horns atop the translucent Havoc Staff are ridiculous in exactly the right way.

Skeletor’s bright red right hand looks almost borrowed from another figure beside the blue left hand, a wonderfully odd bit of asymmetry even before it lights up.

A chunky bronze housing rises from Skeletor’s back, covered in ribbed edges, raised symbols, and a small circular mechanical panel.
