I love how this whole concept leans into the humor and personality that makes Skeletor such an iconic villain. The idea of Skeletor as a gym bro dispensing fitness wisdom is honestly hilarious, and the creative team behind it, including @simoneckert.art on illustrations, @axel.gimenez consulting on proper weightlifting form and body mechanics, and @melissa.karlin on copywriting, have clearly put so much heart and effort into making this something really special. “Havoc Raises” and “Lord of Squats” as exercise names? How freakin’ cute is that?!

Here’s a closer look at the card art for Gym Bro Skeletor’s weightlifting illustration, and the barbell is a great detail, with purple weight plates sporting spiked edges that look like they belong in Snake Mountain’s dungeon. The ram skull hoodie graphic pops against the deep purple fabric, and I noticed that his drawstring sweatpants and matching wristbands really commit to the whole gym rat aesthetic.

The motivational card reads “CRUSH YOUR WORKOUT THEN CRUSH YOUR ENEMIES” in massive black block lettering, with “YOUR” repeated in that same icy blue brushstroke font used throughout the set. I like how the purple halftone texture and angular geometric shapes give it that gritty, ’80s gym poster energy, perfectly matching the rest of the packaging artwork.

The card art for Gym Bro Skeletor is absolutely wild, with a retro ’80s fitness aesthetic that leans all the way into the concept. His iconic skull face peers out from under a purple hoodie, glowing orange eyes blazing, while a burst of blue, purple, and orange radiates outward in that classic action-poster style.

I like how they leaned into the motivational poster vibe here, with “IT IS HARD WORK BEING THIS BAD” splashed across a gradient of deep purple and magenta in heavy block lettering. The Skeletor attribution in icy blue at the bottom right is a fun touch, tying it right back into that gym culture aesthetic.

The packaging artwork takes the concept even further here, presenting Skeletor in full gym bro mode with a sleeveless purple hoodie featuring a stylized ram skull logo on the chest. I’m really digging the purple and blue sneakers with their retro basketball silhouette, paired with those striped tube socks that complete the ’80s gym rat look perfectly.

The Lord of Destruction’s workout regimen

The workout card art layouts by Manuel Eduardo Caritas maintain a retro fitness guide formatting consistent across the whole set. These cards allow you to either pose your Gym Bro Skeletor in these work out poses, or for those workout enthusiast, try to do them yourself in your own Gym!

Lower Body

Let’s start with the lower body workout! The “Lord of Squats” workout with Gym Bro Skeletor under the barbell with a 4x 8-10 reps. Let’s count it out now! I like how the weight plates here look even more massive than in the row setup, stacked thick with sculpted ridges that give them a convincing heavy iron feel.

Gym Bro Skeletor is deep into his “Evil Lunges” here, gripping a pair of black dumbbells while that purple hoodie bunches up naturally around his shoulders and back. I like how the tube socks sit at different heights on each leg, with the front knee’s sock pulled taut while the rear one stays relaxed, a small sculptural touch that sells the movement.

Sporting the same purple hoodie and gym shorts, Gym Bro Skeletor clutches a single black dumbbell close to his chest, with the sculpted drawstring on the shorts adding a nice casual detail. A ghosted silhouette behind him shows the secondary position of the exercise, a clever presentation choice that mirrors actual workout instruction cards. Let’s do this, 3x 8-10 reps!

Ready now,4x 8-10 reps of Deadlifts! Here’s a closer look at the barbell accessory, which features chunky black weight plates on either end of a thin metallic bar. The purple wristbands and those killer sneakers with white laces really pop against his icy blue skin as he grips the bar low.

Upper Body

Now let’s hit the upper body workout with Gym Bro Skeletor!

You can see how the barbell really sells the scale here, with those oversized black weight plates dwarfing Gym Bro Skeletor as he works through his “Roton Row.” The hoodie rides up just enough to expose a sliver of blue skin at the lower back, and those sneakers dig in with a nice planted feel against the ground. Ready now,4x 8-10 reps!

The ghosted silhouette technique shows up again for “Havoc Raises,” with Gym Bro Skeletor spreading both dumbbells wide in a lateral raise, and you can see how the hoodie’s sleeveless cut leaves his entire blue and white marbled arms exposed. I noticed that the “EVIL” patch on the shorts is more legible here than in previous shots, sitting just below the drawstring on the front left panel. Let’s do this, 3x 8-10 reps!

The ghosted silhouette trick returns for the “Skeletor Press,” 4x 8-10 reps! This image shows the full range of motion as he drives the dumbbell overhead. One thing I noticed right away is the small ram skull logo embossed on the chest of the hoodie, a subtle detail that ties back to the concept art and gives the whole gym outfit its own identity.

Here are some fun shots of Gym Bro Skeletor getting his reps in, and I love everything about this concept. Outfitted with a purple tank top, striped tube socks, and a pair of purple and blue retro sneakers, he looks like he walked straight out of an ’80s fitness VHS tape. Try this one now, 4x 8-10 reps!
