Super7 revealed their Snake Eyes GI Joe Super 7 ReAction ashcan comic variant as another SDCC 2024 exclusive!

It would not be Super7 SDCC 2024 exclusive season if they did not include another variant of Snake Eyes! Super7 also revealed Cobra Mortal and Jungle Trap Zartan, their two exclusives for their GI Joe Ultimates line. This Super7 SDCC 2024 exclusive will be available exclusively to Comic-Con attendees at Super7 Booth 2543 from July 24th – 28th, 2024, with limited quantities available to all fans on Super7.com on Monday, July 29th 2024.

Snake Eyes Ashcan Comic Variant

Debuting at Comic-Con 2024, this 3.75” scale, articulated G.I. Joe ReAction Figure of Snake Eyes is inspired by ashcan black and white comics. If you don’t know, an ashcan comic is a form of the American comic book originally created solely to establish trademarks on potential titles and not intended for sale. The practice was common in the 1930s and 1940s when the comic book industry was in its infancy, but was phased out after updates to US trademark law. The term was revived in the 1980s by Bob Burden, who applied it to prototypes of his self-published comic book. Since the 1990s, the term has been used to describe promotional materials produced in large print runs and made available for mass consumption. In the film and television industries, the term “ashcan copy” has been adopted for low-grade material created to preserve a claim to licensed property rights.
