Man-At-Arms and Trap Jaw Coming to MOTU Core Movie Line

I have to say, now that the Masters of the Universe movie kids line has officially stepped out from behind the curtain at Toy Fair 2026 and we have watched the project name evolve from First Ones into the officially branded Core line, it feels like the real fun is just beginning because now we can start connecting the dots and digging into what might actually be headed our way. Seeing the Core assortment in person at the Mattel Creator Breakfast was such a surreal moment for me, especially knowing this is the kid focused companion to the more collector driven Chronicles line, and if you have been following along with us, you know I have been waiting to see how deep Mattel plans to go with this movie inspired universe. What really gets me excited is that we are starting to uncover evidence that some of the major characters already confirmed for Chronicles will also carry over into Core, which tells me this is going to be a robust, character rich launch rather than a shallow one and done assortment. Thanks to the sharp eyes and relentless sleuthing of our good friend El Cofre Geek, we have now spotted Amazon Mexico listings pointing to both Man-At-Arms and Trap Jaw joining the Core lineup. That means kids and collectors alike could soon have access to key Eternian warriors and villains in both Chronicles and Core scales, which are likely to see.

Man-At Arms

Although we don’t have pics and the listing on Amazon MX does not bring up his product page, we can confirm that there is indeed a listing for the figure and once we can access the link we will post more details. We are likely going to see a Man-At-Arms figure that looks like the Chronicles version. Based on the reveals at Toy Fair, where the Core line figures are clearly mirroring the sculpts from the Chronicles line, Man-At-Arms will most likely be translated into the 5.5 inch Core scale with similar overall sculpt cues but simplified engineering and reduced articulation to fit that format.

Man-At-Arms MOTU Chronicles Figure Sculpt

As a reminder, we’ve seen the Man-At-Arms Chronicles sculpt as he was shown in a movie-inspired look clearly modeled after actor Idris Elba, wearing green body armor with layered tan plating, a blue helmet, and a detailed belt loaded with tech elements. I like how he’s posed mid-action with the mace resting over his shoulder while the blaster stays ready at his side, which really shows off the armor sculpt and paint hits across the chest, arms, and legs. The head sculpt sells the likeness well, with a focused expression that matches the on-screen version we’re expecting to see in the film.

Another angle shows the figure squared up on the clear stand, with the armor layering reading a bit differently from the front as the tan plates catch the light against the darker green undersuit. I am really noticing the belt detailing here, with the segmented silver pieces wrapping cleanly around the waist and a small tool hanging off the thigh. The helmet profile and face sculpt come through strong from this view, and the paint hits across the boots and shin armor feel more defined int his angle.

Trap Jaw

We have some harder evidence with Trap Jaw as we were able to pull of the details for the Core Trap Jaw with a listing title and the the product code of JK103 that is designated for the figure.

Trap Jaw MOTU Chronciles Figure Sculpt

We got an up close and personal look at the Chronicles sculpt at Toy Fair 2026 as Trap Jaw was posed in a wide stance with his left arm raised and clawed hand extended forward while his mechanical right arm ends in a curved hook attachment. He wears a metallic shoulder harness with rivet detailing, a brown strap crossing his blue torso, and a black skirt piece at the waist over armored legs with green thigh panels and sculpted mechanical elements at the knees. His pink helmet frames a green face with a hinged jaw that opens and closes to reveal sculpted teeth inside, and the silver boots feature angular plating that completes the armored look.

From this side angle, Trap Jaw’s hinged mouth is clearly visible, with the lower jaw sculpted as a separate piece that opens downward to reveal the inner teeth and mechanical detailing along the hinge line. The pink helmet wraps tightly around the head with panel lines and rivet details, contrasting against the green face and blue torso. The metallic shoulder armor shows layered plates and raised spikes, while the mechanical arm features segmented sculpting that leads down to the curved hook attachment, and the black skirt and armored legs display textured surfaces and teal thigh accents.

Trap Jaw’s extra accessories include an alternate blue gripping hand with a gold wrist cuff, a detachable arm cannon with black and metallic paint applications and sculpted panel lines, and a large blade attachment with serrated detailing along the spine. The blade features mechanical sculpting at the base where it connects, including circular and angular elements that match the industrial look of his armored arm. Each piece carries weathered paint accents that highlight the edges and molded details.
