The Justice Society of America (JSA) is a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. It was conceived by editor Sheldon Mayer and writer Gardner Fox during the Golden Age of Comic Books. It first appeared in All Star Comics #3 (Winter 1940–1941), making it the first team of superheroes in comic books. Its original members were Doctor Fate, Hourman, the Spectre, Sandman, Atom, the Flash, Green Lantern and Hawkman. So let’s take a look at the McFarlane Super Powers Starman, Green Lantern, and Hourman 3 pack! Special thanks to Cullen Guzik for sending us the Amazon Link.

Here is what the 3 pack looks like in package.

A better look at this very colorful 3 pack of figures!

Here we get to see the back of the package and their bio cards.

Starman
Starman (Theodore Henry “Ted” Knight) is a fictional superhero appearing in media published by DC Comics, primarily as a member of the Justice Society of America. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Jack Burnley, he first appeared in Adventure Comics #61 (April 1941). His action figure is a great representation of his comic book appearance! Love that he has his star on the back of his cape!

Here we can see what he looks like in the comics.

Hourman
Hourman or Hour-Man is the name of three different fictional superheroes appearing in comics published by DC Comics. The original Hourman was created by writer Ken Fitch and artist Bernard Baily in Adventure Comics #48 (March 1940), during the Golden Age of Comic Books. The first Hourman is chemist Rex Tyler, who creates a new synthesis, “Miraclo”, which grants him super-strength and endurance, but only for one hour. His action figure is a great representation of his comic book appearance! His cape has an hourglass necklace and a gorgeous stripped accent as well!

Green Lantern
Alan was a founding member of the Justice Society and was instrumental in many wartime battles. After the war, as a broadcast executive in the late forties, Alan Scott had a flirtatious relationship with the costumed villainess the Harlequin (who unbeknownst to Alan, was secretly his secretary, Molly Mayne). Molly even admitted that her career as a “criminal” was just a ruse to get close to Green Lantern. The Harlequin eventually turned over a new leaf, becoming an undercover agent for the FBI. She left Alan’s life without confessing her true identity or her real feelings. His action figure is a great representation of his comic book appearance! I love his Green Lantern icon on his chest and his cool dual colored cape!
