“Who you gonna call?” Well, if you’re calling on Mondo, the answer is some of the most amazing Real Ghostbusters figures we’ve ever seen! Huge thanks to @mondonews for dropping this incredible reveal. Straight from one of the most beloved episodes of The Real Ghostbusters, Mondo is bringing us the Citizen Ghosts 1/12 Scale Figure Set as a Timed Edition for SDCC 2026, and I could not be more excited about this one. For those of you who know and love the “Citizen Ghost” episode, this is a dream come true. I always loved the “Citizen Ghost” episode. It’s one of those deep cut storylines that really stuck with fans over the decades, and seeing Mondo give it this kind of love in figure form just makes my collector heart sing. The set includes Ghost Peter, Egon, Ray, and Winston, all rendered in translucent material with glow in the dark spectral attachments on their eyes and mouth, plus glow in the dark attachable marshmallow goo. How cool is that?! But wait, it gets even better. The set also comes packed with swappable human heads and hands, proton packs, Slimer, an Orange ghost, a Bug-eyed ghost, and even more accessories. Mondo always goes above and beyond with their accessory loadouts and this set is no exception. Having those human heads included means you can essentially display these as your standard Ghostbusters crew or swap over to their ghostly Citizen Ghost forms, which is just such a fun option for display. The set will be available online at MondoShop.com on Wednesday, July 22 at 10 AM CT. One thing to note is that the first 1000 units purchased will ship in July 2026, with all following purchases shipping in February 2027, so getting your order in early definitely has its perks. This is a timed edition, so as long as you order during the window you should be able to grab one, but if you want it sooner rather than later, be ready to go on launch day. So let’s take a look at the Mondo Citizen Ghosts 1/12 Scale Timed Edition set!

The Citizen Ghosts look incredible as a full four-pack, with all four Ghostbusters suited up in their tan jumpsuits but sporting translucent green glow-in-the-dark heads that perfectly capture their spectral transformation from the classic episode. You can see how the “marshmallow” goo attachments cling to their uniforms in soft, organic shapes, adding a great sense of ectoplasmic chaos across the group.

I’m really digging how the glow-in-the-dark effect looks when the lights are down, with the translucent green faces and spectral eye and mouth attachments absolutely radiating against the darkened jumpsuits. The proton packs sit heavy on their backs with those signature red hose lines curving up and over, and you get a real sense of how eerie these four look together as a ghostly crew.

Here are some fun shots of the Citizen Ghosts under dramatic green lighting, and the glow-in-the-dark marshmallow goo really pops here, with those soft white shapes scattered across the arms, legs, and torsos creating an almost organic spread of ectoplasm. I like how each figure’s proton pack and gear still reads distinctly even in low light, with the red accents on the packs cutting through the green haze.

Egon takes center stage here, his translucent green glow-in-the-dark head practically buzzing under the moody lighting, with those signature round glasses sculpted in crisp black sitting right on his spectral face. The other Ghostbusters fill out the scene behind him, and I like how the spectral mouth and eye attachments on Egon glow with that soft, eerie warmth against the deeper shadows of his jumpsuit.

Peter Venkman gets the spotlight here, and I noticed that his translucent green head has a slightly different sculpted hairstyle from the others, with that swept, wavy hair catching the ambient red light in a way that gives it an almost molten quality. The spectral goo attachments drape down from his face and across his collar in thick, smooth trails, their glow-in-the-dark material contrasting sharply against the dark fabric of his jumpsuit.

Here are some fun shots of all four Citizen Ghosts converging on the Orange Ghost and Bug-eyed Ghost, with the translucent proton streams arcing out from the neutrona wands in those twisted, organic sculpted shapes that nail the animated series look. The ghost trap sits open on the ground between the two little critters, its green cord trailing off to one side, while the Orange Ghost’s panicked expression and outstretched arms sell the moment perfectly.

Here’s a closer look at the full team in action, with all four Citizen Ghosts circling their targets as the translucent yellow proton streams converge toward the center of the group. Something I appreciate here is how the orange hose loops on the proton packs contrast against the tan jumpsuits, while the glow-in-the-dark marshmallow goo scattered across each figure picks up the green ambient light differently depending on the angle.

Slimer is absolutely loaded up here, clutching a whole roast turkey and an ear of corn while his wide-open mouth overflows with what looks like a pile of shrimp. Those big orange eyes with their tiny black pupils are pure cartoon perfection, and the little guy’s stubby green fingers wrap around his food haul with real character.

The Orange Ghost is a wild little sculpt, with that deep salmon-red skin covered in wrinkles, bumps, and folds that give him a grotesque, lumpy texture straight out of the animated series. Those massive white teeth stretching across his wide grin and the single yellow eye with its orange iris make for a face that’s equal parts funny and unsettling.

Here’s a closer look at everything you get in this set, and it’s a lot. Each Ghostbuster comes with a swappable human head, and the likenesses are great, with Peter, Egon, Ray, and Winston all sporting their animated series looks complete with distinct skin tones and hairstyles. The accessory spread is seriously generous: four proton packs with yellow hose loops, multiple sets of swappable black-gloved and flesh-toned hands, translucent white spectral eye and mouth pieces, yellow proton stream effects, four ghost traps with their signature black and yellow striping, and both Slimer and the Bug-eyed Ghost as companion figures, each on their own translucent ooze base.
