Yo Joe! Cowabunga! When two of the greatest 80s franchises collide, you know we’re going to lose our minds, and Playmates Toys just dropped something that has us absolutely buzzing. Huge thanks to @playmatestoysinc for revealing this one on their Instagram today. We’re getting a TMNT x GI Joe Crossover Snake Eyes x Leo figure AND an exclusive Timber x Rahzar figure heading to San Diego Comic Con 2026! Yes, you read that right, G.I. Joe’s silent ninja commando meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ fearless leader, and Snake Eyes’ loyal wolf Timber gets mashed up with the mutant canine villain Rahzar. How amazing is that?! This is the kind of crossover that speaks directly to those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s bouncing between G.I. Joe and TMNT on Saturday mornings. The pairing of Snake Eyes and Leo is honestly such a natural fit, two of the most iconic ninja characters in all of pop culture wrapped into one figure. And then giving us Timber reimagined as Rahzar as a con exclusive companion piece is such a fun deep cut touch that connects both universes in a really clever way. I just love how Playmates leaned into the ninja and wolf themes across both IPs to make this trifecta of characters work together so beautifully. Details are still light on pricing and booth info, but Playmates confirmed this will be available at SDCC next month in limited quantities. While nothing has been officially confirmed yet about whether these will show up anywhere else after the con, only time will tell. So let’s take a look at the Snake Eyes x Leo and exclusive Timber x Rahzar SDCC 2026 reveal!
The packaging features a matte black box with a subtle brick-pattern texture running across the surface, and the left side panel includes illustrated artwork of Leo in his Snake Eyes gear. Alongside the box, Snake Eyes x Leo is outfitted in a black commando suit with blue padding on the shoulders, knees, and belt, while his green turtle skin contrasts sharply against the tactical gear, and the exclusive Timber x Rahzar companion figure stands nearby with grey fur, yellow eyes, and an open snarling mouth showing off some nasty teeth.
The back of the box keeps the same matte black finish with that brick-pattern texture, and the “A Real Reptilian Hero” tagline beneath the crossover logo is a fun mashup touch. I think it’s neat that they went with such a clean, minimal design here, letting the crossover branding do all the heavy lifting without any character artwork on this panel.
The front of the box uses a sewer-green and yellow illustrated backdrop that feels pulled straight from the classic TMNT cartoon aesthetic, with Leo crouching in full gear alongside a snarling Rahzar in the lower left corner artwork. You can see how the blister window gives a clear look at the full set, with Snake Eyes x Leo flanked by his katanas and a green laser pistol, plus the Timber x Rahzar figure perched beside him with that dark mesh harness wrapped around its torso.
Here’s a closer look at the two box sides together, and the size of this set is worth noting. The outer sleeve wraps around the windowed box as a slipcover, with that brick-texture matte finish creating a nice tactile contrast against the glossy blister panel underneath.
Clad in his black tactical suit, Leo’s blue bandana tails trail behind his head while a matching blue bandolier crosses his chest, studded with silver rivets that give the whole rig a nice military edge. The green laser pistol is a fun piece, with those neon green mutagen-like attachments popping hard against all that dark gear, and Timber x Rahzar looks genuinely menacing beside him with that textured grey fur sculpt and those piercing yellow eyes.
Armed with that green laser pistol, you can see how the neon mutagen-colored grips and barrel attachments create a wild contrast against Leo’s all-black gloves and forearm guards. Timber x Rahzar’s black mesh harness has a sculpted carry handle on top, and the wolf’s front legs transition from that shaggy grey fur into smooth black armored sections at the lower joints, which is a cool hybrid detail.
Leo’s belt buckle has that stylized “L” insignia stamped into a silver circular medallion, and the pouches flanking his hips have individual flap and buckle detailing sculpted into the black plastic. I like how his blue visor sits snug over the bandana, wrapping around his head with a goggle-like silhouette that merges the Snake Eyes and Leonardo looks perfectly.
Something I appreciate here is the katana sculpt, with those slightly curved black blades tapering to fine points and wrapped hilts that have a subtle crosshatch texture in the grip. Timber x Rahzar’s snarling mouth reveals a red tongue and individual teeth sculpted into the upper and lower jaws, and the wolf’s yellow eyes have tight black pupils that lock right onto you.
Leo comes with a solid accessory spread here, including two katanas with sculpted scabbards and that green laser pistol, all laid out alongside the Timber x Rahzar figure. I noticed that the katana scabbards have ribbed texture at the base and small crossguard details where the blade meets the hilt, and Rahzar’s harness has a flat, squared-off carry handle that looks like it’s designed for an action figure to grip.
