Skeletor MOTU Chronciles Official Images

After months of waiting, we’re finally getting our best look at the Evil Lord of Destruction himself, as Mattel has dropped the full set of official images for the Chronicles Skeletor plus we found an image showing off the packaging. We recently got our first glimpse of the Chronicles line when Mattel pulled back the curtain on the initial wave of movie-inspired figures, and now Skeletor is stepping into the spotlight with his own dedicated gallery that includes packaging shots and a thorough look at the figure from multiple angles. This 6.5-inch scale figure is designed to capture the movie-accurate appearance of Jared Leto’s portrayal of Skeletor, and from these images I’m really into how the detailing and overall sculpt translate the character’s on-screen look into plastic form, blending the classic MOTU villain we all know with the fresh cinematic take that the film is going for. The figure comes equipped with the signature ram-headed Havoc Staff, which feels like an absolute must for any version of Skeletor, and the 30 points of articulation should give collectors plenty of room to pose him in all kinds of menacing stances worthy of Eternia’s most power-hungry villain. The deluxe window box packaging looks sharp too, featuring movie-accurate graphics that make this one a solid option for both in-box and out-of-box display. Priced at $27.00, this Chronicles Skeletor is set to launch on April 25, 2026, as a Club Grayskull members-only release through Mattel Creations, though it sounds like it may also be available at other retailers during the early access window. I love how the Chronicles line is shaping up as a dedicated collector-scale celebration of the movie, and I love seeing Skeletor in all his glory!

Skeletor wears a deep purple hooded cloak with intricate filigree sculpted into the broad collar, accented by a red gem at the center of the chest. A pair of swap-out gripping hands and the Havoc Staff are displayed alongside the figure, the staff topped with a silver ram skull featuring green gem eyes.

Skeletor’s cape drapes with real weight here, the dark purple fabric flowing with a natural hang and a frayed, textured edge at the bottom. His Havoc Staff features ribbed tubing wrapping around the ram horns, with small green gems set into the skull’s eye sockets catching the light.

Skeletor’s belt and loincloth feature layered, leaf-shaped armor panels in deep purple with ornate scrollwork sculpted into the belt buckle area. His purple boots have a segmented, wrapped leather look with textured striations running across each section.

Skeletor grips the Havoc Staff with both hands, his yellowish skull face framed by the deep purple hood, with small red eyes glowing from the dark sockets. The sculpt on his armored boots shows a gladiator-sandal design with overlapping plates that catch the light nicely.

Skeletor has his arms raised with clawed, open hands, the blue skin contrasting sharply against the purple hooded cloak and ornate bracers on each forearm. The soft goods cape hangs full-length to the ground, and the red gem at the center of his collar catches the eye against all that dark purple.
