Mondo Battle Cat Sixth Scale Masters of the Universe In Hand Images

To aretrogeekdad’s surprise, his Mondo Battle Cat Sixth Scale figure (work of art in our opinion) was delivered and he shared a couple pics of beast on his Instagram page! Hopefully this means Battle Cat will be hitting other collector’s hands in a matter of time. He went live for preorder back on October 15, 2022 so it’s great to see some in hand images of Battle Cat, who will look amazing paired with the lastest He-Man sixth scale figure! Aretrogeekdad also reviewed the beast on his YouTube channel so stay tuned for that! He has only posted a couple teaser images and we can’t wait for more images and his video review to hit!

The armor on Battle Cat is simply stunning and the saddle and helmet are intricately detailed! The classic maroon coloring has a nice sheen to it and the stirrup provides a nice foot rest for the most powerful man in the universe! Without the armor, you can make a larger sized Cringer, that looks amazing!

The latest iteration of He-Man looks stupendous atop Battle Cat and the scale of the beast is perfect for the sixth scale figures!

Yo Smith’s In Hand Images

Yo Smith also received his Battle Cat and posted some incredible in hand images as well! So letr’s take a look at these Mondo Battle Cat Sixth Scale Masters of the Universe In Hand Images!

From the pics he has posted, you can see the premium paint app on the armor shining through and little Cringer, who will sure go well with the other figures in the Mondo line and also the Origins or Masterverse lines as well if you want to mix things up!

You can see the various swappable heads that Battle Cat comes with! He comes with 2 helmeted heads and 2 unmasked heads. One of which is grown Cringer, and he looks adorable.

Battle Cat looks incredible with his varying heads. The paint applications are spectacular!

Mondo Battle Cat Preorder and Official Images

Revealed at Power Con 2021, Mondo Battle Cat is finally going up for preorder, but with a hefty price tag! Beginning at 12PM CT on 10/25, the window to order this amazing work of art will run until 11/1. There is a limit of two per customer and will expected to ship in Spring/Summer of 2023. This figure will retail for $499 and will be free shipping in the US.

October 24, 2022 UPDATE: Deluxe Regular Edition He-Man

What goes around comes around! Mondo is putting up a regular edition He-Man up for sale on he Official Mondo website from October 25, 2022 to November 1, 2022, which is great news for collectors who missed out on the Deluxe version!

Mondo revealed official images and the latest details for the MOTU Battle Cat 1/6 Scale Timed edition today! Here are the details from Mondo:

We are officially ready to release (quite possibly) our biggest collectible to date: Masters of the Universe’s BATTLE CAT. We have been working on this figure for a long time now, making sure  that we give collectors something that is truly special. This will be the first ever time that a 1/6 scale Battle Cat has been released and it is absolutely massive, at about 18 inches in length (basically the size of a house cat).

After releasing many Masters of the Universe figures throughout the years, Battle Cat feels like the culmination of it all, the biggest moment in this line.

The sheer magnitude of releasing a figure like this is not lost on us. An 18-inch-long, fully articulated Battle Cat … with swappable heads and completely removable armor!? Crazy! Well, yeah, it’s crazy. But sometimes it takes a little crazy to do something special, and we truly believe we have made one of the coolest Battle Cats of all time.

Once we had an approved concept, we had to find a sculptor who would be up to the task of bringing this figure to life. So, of course, we turned to Matt Black for the initial sculpting and then Tommy Hodges to handle all the articulation, engineering and additional sculpting. After sculpting was completed and 3D-printed, we turned to Mark Bristow to handle painting duties. We debuted the paint master at San Diego Comic Con 2022, this past summer, and it blew everyone one away. Once prototyped, we sent it over to Raul Barrero to work his magic with the photography. The results are stunning.

When we started this project one thing was clear: we had to honor the history of this amazing and iconic character. This figure not only pays homage to the amazing design of the original figure from the 80s, but also celebrates Battle Cat’s rich history. This figure wouldn’t exist without the amazing work put into this character, over the decades. We are so excited to add to that history and bring you the biggest Battle Cat to date … the one we all imagined as kids, when we were playing with the original figure, leading him into battle against all the threatened Eternia. You have the Power!

Power Con 2021 Reveal

On display at Power Con 2021, we got to see an unpanited version of Battle Cat and let’s say this kitty was looking quite impressive back then! Accompanied by the She-Ra and Kowl sculpts and other 1/6 scale Mondo figures, Battle Cat was in great company and it was great to see the scale of the figure alongside others in the display. At the time, they only had one alternate head on display and a a non-poseable prototype was featured at Mondo’s booth Battle Cat but, as we found out, will feature full articulation and accessories in his final form.

SDCC 2022 Display

Mondo Battle Cat was also on display at SDCC 2022 and it was great to see a final painted, posable version of He-Man’s trusty feline friend and battle companion. The shading and saddle detail was amazing to see in full color and we could also check out the additional bracers on the front legs. His masked head was looking fantastic and was also full of shaded detail and nice hard angles.

We also got to see the other alternate heads so you can display Battle Cat in several different ways.

Preorder Teaser Plus a Regular Edition He-Man

Mondo is known for its teasers and they took to Instagram to reveal the preorder in classic fashion. They said:

The exclusive timed edition of our @masters BATTLE CAT 1/6 Scale Figure will be released on 10/25/22. It will be $499, with free US domestic shipping and payment plans available. A regular edition of our He-Man Deluxe 1/6 figure will also be on sale. More details to come.

40th Anniversary Press and Influencer Day Images

At Mattel’s 40th Anniversary Press and Influencer event, they showed off a finished version of Battle Cat with the Deluxe He-Man and he looks amazing! You can also see the cut little Cringer sculpt that is fully painted beside him and you can get a sense of the details that Mondo pours into their figures. The saddle on Battle Cat looks so intricately detailed and it looks like it comes with a leather stirrup for He-Man’s feet. Only time will tell if this stirrup is a moveable piece.
