After the preorder closed, we get to see more He-Man Mondo 1/6 scale time edition official images that will knock your socks off!
Well Mondo came thru as promised and they have begun shipping replacement figures to collectors who had the broken torso QC issue! They are sending just the figure body with no head and no hands, so that collectors can replace the broken portion. You can see the image below of what will be sent out to collectors. They also said that if their current stock is not sufficient to fulfill their requests, additional replacement and safety stock will arrive in March/April. Production of this stock is already underway and will be received after the Lunar New Year holidays.

They also said that if their current stock is not sufficient to fulfill their requests, additional replacement and safety stock will arrive in March/April. More amazing images of the He-Man Mondo 1/6 Scale Timed Edition were released today, showing off this amazing figure with endless display possibilities. If missed out on the preorder for this figure, you had to act within 24 hours to secure this version as it is sold out as of June 23, 2022 at 11:59am CT. The new photos really show off the versatility you can deploy in posing this figure with the plethora of weapons and accessories to achieve 4 different versions of He-Man with one figure! You can create his Savage look with no armor, his classic look that we grew up with, his battle armor look, and Thunder Punch appearance in amazing detail!
He-Man Classic Look
He-Man has never looked better in his vintage form! There are so many details to point out it is hard to know where to begin but since you asked (well you didn’t lol), let’s start with his armor as this piece truly makes it looks like He-Man is wearing armor. The large metal plate in the middle of his chest looks like it can offer some great protection and is secured with some gray straps that have some nice leather texturing and rivet finishes to them. We were curious what the vintage style head sculpt would look like so in true fashion, we photoshopped the vintage head on to the buck so you could see what this version might look like!
The inside of the shield has a brown leather look strap with a substantial handle for his fist to grab a hold of. His axe has an intricate design that is silver with gold accents and the handle design is spectacular! The boots and loin cloth have a real fur texture to them and add a different level of texture and feel to the figure. The Power Sword looks amazing and is of the right thickness and scale for this figure. the handle of the sword has a black wrap to it, matching the color of the handle of the axe.
He-Man Savage Look
Since all his armor is removable, you can give him his Savage look that stems from the mini comic He-Man and the Power Sword but he really needed to come with an extra headsculp and bare feet to fully pull this one off! The belt is more in the style of the Masters of the Universe Revelation line and the extra fur on the loin cloths really gives him a more realistic look.
Battle Armor Look
His Battle armor fits him like a glove and hugs his chest really well! The detailing around the abs really mimic his bare abs in a way that looks very natural. The rivets add the extra level of realism that is lacking on figures at lower price points that are mass produced. For example, the armor on the MOTU Classics BA He-Man has a similar style but lacks the fits and finishes, which you would expect at a figure with a $25 point point. Paying homage to the battle armor action feature, the chest features swappable plates and come on and off without removing the armor, which is a brilliant design move! The wrist cuff on the right hand has a angular design with large metal circular design around it. The wrist bracer on this left arm is more subdued and gives him a more form fitting, sleaker look.
Thunder Punch Look
Paying homage to his Thunder Punch version that came out in 1985 and to say that they nailed this look would be understatement! The chest armor looks amazing with a crackled metal design that features the ‘H’ in the middle of his chest, coincidentally, that first appeared on his Battle Armor version in the 1980’s! The strap detail has varying colors of deep and light reds to break up the design to prevent it from looking like a solid piece. He also features removable wrist cuffs that tie into the color of his armor. The weapons are really the centerpiece of this design. The shield alone is so detailed and it looks like it has layers of metal on the front that make up the design. In the vintage version, if you recall, had more of a silver chrome look that had a smooth finish. The front of the shield also features that ‘H’ plus a place to stow the caps that the the original Thunder Punch He Man came with. The back of the shield features a similar strap and handle as his vintage style shield and I love the black and silver detailing they put on the back of it. The amber translucent Power Sword was the perfect color for this design. He looks amazing holding it in hand and also stowed in his shield!
