Tiger Force Roadblock GI Joe Classified Series has been leaked, giving us the possibility of adding yet another version of him to the line in the near future!
The old adage, loose lips sink ships, is running rampant in GI Joe news this week with another rumor of an unannounced Roadblock Version 5! Like we need another version of Roadblock, this figure could potentially end up being a Tiger Force repaint as he was part of the original Tiger Force line in the late 80’s. Thanks to gi_shark for sending us this image but we would like to mention that this is not officially conformed so treat this a rumor for now. This also comes hot of the heels of leaked images of a Python Patrol Crimson Guard so be on the lookout for official confirmation!

The Tiger Force Line Up
If we take a look at the Tiger Force line up released in the 80’s, like TheArtistShark reports, we are very like to see this figure come to fruition!

Tiger Force Roadblock and Custom Concept
While Hasbro is widely known to use and reuse figures to create new ones, Tiger Force Roadblock came on the scene in 1988/89. If you are not familiar, Tiger Force was a subgroup within G.I. Joe. Uniforms were mainly yellow and green in color with tiger stripe design. Their vehicles were primarily yellow in coloring and had the same tiger stripe patterns. Tiger Force used G.I. Joe vehicles and captured Cobra Vehicles.

According to yojoe.com, “Roadblock (v3) – also commonly known as “Tiger Force Roadblock” – was released carded as part of the seventh series (1988). He was also sold in 1989 and discontinued domestically in 1990.”

Which Version of Roadblock Will Be Version 5?
As the TheArtistShark reported, there are already 4 version of Roadblock so a Tiger Force figure is likely but which version? We explore this below!

It is very likely that Hasbro will reuse the Heavy Artillery version of Roadblock, who is closer to the vintage look than the custom concept below but it’s cool to see how they might use either the Cobra Island Version of Roadblock of the Heavy Artillery version.

A wild card and highly unlikely to see but we could see a Cobra Island repaint for a Tiger Force figure but it seems like Hasbro is moving away from this direction and going with the more vintage style figure looks.
