It felt like only yesterday (oh wait! It was!) when Paulamart posted an image of Snake Armor Skeletor and put him up for sale! It looks like Wave 12 is hitting Malyasia so here are the in hand images courtesy of the horde_apprentice, motu.revolution and playtimereturns plus yo_tengo_el_poder also posted images of the card art for 3 out of the 4 figures. Check out the images of Snake Armor Skeletor, Mini Comic Roboto, and Tung Lashor! The cool thing about this card art is it teases two of the most wanted MOTU Origins figures: Two Bad and Sy-Klone plus a surprise lurking in the background, Bashasaurus!
MOTU Origins Wave 12 In Hand
It’s amazing to see the figures in package because you can get a feel for the colors! We can’t wait to get them in our hot little hands! Along with the in hand images of the figures, we also have card art that was posted too!

MOTU Origins Wave 12 Card Art Teases
Snake Armor Skeletor Card Art and Figure
Snake Armor Skeletor is the counterpart to Snake Armor He-Man from Wave 11. It’s great to see an official image posted that is clear as we can see the details on the card front and back!
There are no new teases on the card art for Snake Armor Skeletor but we can see King Hiss, Kobra Khan, and Tung Lashor watching Snake Armor Skeletor lay the beat down on Snake Armor He-Man! It is a literal Snake party, which is frightening! Thanks to Yo Tengo El Poder for posting these Wave 12 Card Arts!

Special thanks to playtimereturns, who lives very close to Frank and Sons, where he sources these figures early! He gets from none other than the Paulmartstore at Franks’s so let’s take a closer look!

The colors for Snake Armor Skeletor are amazing and the armor looks fantastic “in person.”

Snake Armor Skeletor 200x Comparison
playtimereturns is on fire with the photos as he compares the Snake Armor Skeletor from MOTU origins with the Snake Armor Skeletor from the MOTU 200x line!

Mini Comic Roboto Card Art and Figure
The card art for Mini Comic Roboto is the most interesting as it teases Two-Bad (again) and the Bashasaurus!

Per Roy Juarez (@manuel_eduardo_caritas) • Instagram photos and videos
Roboto may have strength of steel, but it’s his cybernetically enhanced heart that makes him one of Eternia’s bravest (swipe to see full artwork)

Mini Comic Roboto’s colors look amazing and the orange is much softer in the produce figure versus the official images. His heart looks amazing too!

Two-Bad Card Art Tease
This is the 2nd time that Two-Bad has been teased on MOTU Origins card art! Two-Bad is a two-headed Evil Warrior who is basically two different beings sharing the same body. In some ways he is like siamese twins, although both halves of his body are very different-looking creatures who appear to be from entirely different species. His right half is a blue creature, while his left half is a purple, scaly creature with an eyebrow-like yellow band on his forehead. His two heads have the habit of continuously arguing with one another.
Two-Bad is introduced into the Masters of the Universe toy line in 1985. Originally marketed as the “double-headed evil strategist” it is implied he is a master of strategy due to being two warriors in one, but his main trait in all story media is that his two heads have a habit of endlessly arguing with each other, meaning he has always generally been used for comic relief.

Two-Bad first appeared on the Battlefield Warriors box art as he looks like he is in persuit of He-Man.

Bashasaurus Card Art Tease
If you blinked you might have missed the Bashasaurus tease lurking in the background. This is the first time this vehicle has been teased in the line!

The box art features Battle Armor He-Man in the driver’s seat and the it shows you that you can press a button and the ball swing forward and we hope that action figure is retained because what would be the point if they left out that? It would be like leaving the rip stick feature of of the Road Ripper (aka Ground Ripper)…oh wait…they did that lol.

The Bashasaurus is a vehicle from the Masters of the Universe toyline and related franchise. It is adorned with a spiked head and has a huge mace that can “bash” obstacles and enemy vehicles.

Tung Lashor Card Art and Figure
The Tung Lashor Card art features a duel with none other than the yellow and blue heroic tornado, Sk-Klone.
With a paralyzing toxin secreting from his tongue, Tung Lashor is the Snake Men’s most feared soldier. (Swipe to see full artwork)

Tung Lashor is featured on the Rise of the Snake Men card, like others in Wave 12.

Sy-Klone Card Tease
This is the 3rd time Sy-Klone has been teased on MOTU Card art! Sy-Klone is a member of the Heroic Warriors. A blue-skinned cyborg with the ability to spin at super-speed and generate a whirlwind, he is also able to spin different parts of his body individually and was dubbed the ‘Heroic fist-flinging tornado’.

Source: battleramblog.com
We’ve seen Sy-Klone on a couple different card art montages, including Jitzu’s where if you were not paying attention to who was flying in from the side, you would definitely miss him. I think He-Man can stand on his own defending against Jitzu’s chopping fist but Sy-Klone is there for backup! We also saw him in the most recent release of the Flying Fists He-Man card art where he is taking an offensive pose raising his shield high up in the air.

Terroar Card Tease
The last card art tease we got was on Hypto’s card back teasing Terroar! If you recall Terroar was never released in the vintage line, but was part of a 3 Pack for the MOTU Classics Line. This is the second time now that we can have gotten Terroar teased on a MOTU Origins cardback, so this is a great indicator that we may be getting him!

Gifted with a mesmerizing voice, Hypno can both hypnotize people and see into their future. (Swipe to see full artwork)

Here you can see what a version of Terror would look like in MOTU Origins form, with this custom figure below. As you can see, Terror is completely a mash up of existing parts. You can see they use Whiplash’s head, Trap Jaw’s right arm and shoulder, Rattlor’s torso, left arm and tail, and Mosquitor’s legs and boots. Again this is a CUSTOM image below, but you can see what it could look like.

If you recall, we saw Terroar in multiple locations of the Camo Khan Card art. Illustrated standing by King Hiss’ throne and also coming thru a portal with Camo Khan, Lord Gr’asp & Terroar along with Reptilax, an unproduced Classics concept, look ready to attack. If you haven’t checked out our Camo Khan card art tease article, you can check it out here: MOTU-origins-camo-khan-card-art-teases (toyhabits.com)

Terroar, and Lord Gr’Asp were part of a 2017 PowerCon exclusive3 pack that included Terroar, Plasmar & Lord Gr’Asp.

Special thanks to Planet Eternia for posting an official image of MOTU Origins Wave 12 reveal. Consisting of Hypno from the Rulers of the Sun line, Tung Lashor, Snake Armor Skeletor, and Mini Comic Roboto, this wave is sure bright and colorful!

Snake Armor Skeletor
First off, let’s take a look at this brand new Origins figure that has never been made before, MOTU Origins Snake Armor Skeletor! Mostly a reuse of the 200x Skeletor, this new version of Skeletor is looking incredible is his amazing snake armor and snake headdress! The snake armor is a reddish orange color with giant green snake eyes on the chest and shaped fangs that make up the front of the chest armor. The shoulder portions of the armor are shaped like the head of a cobra snake’s hood! He has a king cobra shaped headdress on as well with what looks like sitting on the 200X skeletor head sculpt below! They also reused the 200x arm, arm bracers, loin cloth design and shin armor design, but in a darker purple color. Heck, Mattel needs to get it’s money’s worth out of the new parts they used on the 200X Skeletor figure and this was a great way to do it!

Mini Comic Roboto
If you are not familiar with this particular version of Roboto, he comes straight from the MOTU vintage mini comics. As you can see in the comics, Roboto’s translucent chest is actually solid and you can’t see through it. It also appears as Roboto’s heart is displayed on the outside. In the mini comic, there are no gears and in other pictures his heart is not displayed but only because his heart is not inside him.

Mini Comic Roboto MOTU Origins
Mini Comic looks amazing and is packed on the Rise of Snake Men card! He comes with a translucent chest and gray gears and an extra special heart in the center of his chest to pay homage to the vintage mini comic. Could he be part of the next wave with Snake Armor Skeletor and Hypno? Only time will tell!

Mini Comic Roboto on Heo.com
Heo is the first site to reveal this figure and they have set a tentative release date for February 2023!

Tung Lashor
It is now confirmed that Tung Lashor is part of Wave 12 and will not retain his action feature like the vintage Masters of the Universe figure and this seems to be the trend where Mattel is going with this figure line.

As you can see, there is no dial on his back so we get a nice clean sculpt for his MOTU Origins figure.

He looks great all geared up with his crossbow and purple snake staff!

Tung Lashor Vintage Figure
Tung Lashor, first introduced by Mattel in 1986, was the first of the Snake Men to be released. He was made of all new parts and resembled the look of a poison dart frog, more than a snake. He featured a unique 3 figured hand design that resembled a tree frog. His bright pink and purple colored body really stood out and he sported a green Snake Men logo on his chest. He come with his own distinct action feature, his signature lashing tongue! This action feature was activated by rolling the wheel on his back and it made the tongue dart in and out of Tung Lashor’s mouth. He came with a purple snake staff and teal colored dragon fly cross bow.
According to the Wiki Grayskull
Tung Lashor was introduced into the MOTU toyline in 1986. He first appears in the “King of the Snake Men” minicomic, in which he and Rattlor are called from another dimension by King Hiss. When they appear, Kobra Khan says they “are from the Evil Horde on Etheria!”, but both Snake Men swear allegiance again to their former leader King Hiss, explaining that after his banishment they felt they had nowhere to go other than to serve the Horde.
Although the Snake Men as a group never appear on the toy-line’s accompanying cartoon series Tung Lashor appears in She-Ra as a member of the Evil Horde. He is one of several newer characters from the toy line to be featured on the She-Ra’s Princess of Power cartoon series in order to promote the toy in the absence of the He-Man series, discontinued to make way for She-Ra.

Hypno
Thanks to yo_tengo_el_poder, we have what appears to be Hypno from the MOTU Origins Rulers of the Sun line leaked by Amazon! This previously unproduced Rulers of the Sun figure is the next to join the MOTU Origins Line in 2023! Hypno, just like the rest of the Ruler’s of the Sun uses shared parts from the rest of the Rulers of the Sun figures, but with different skin tones, a new head sculpt and unique armor, giving Hypno a whole new look while keeping the cost to produce the figure low. But Hypno was never produced as previously stated, so let’s take a closer look at Hypno and the story behind him

Below is the leaked image that was posted to the yo_tengo_el_poder instagram page. When trying to search for Hypno on Amazon, nothing comes up on the search, so not sure what the source of the image was, but it came from Amazon in some form.
Hypno figure for Masters of the Universe Origins, originally from Sun-Man and the Rulers of the Sun, has been leaked by Amazon.
¡Yo tengo el Poder! on Instagram:
The back story to Hypno is very interesting, Hyno is a member of the Rulers of the Sun who is a Psychic Hypnotist. But little else is known of his backstory, other than a prototype image exist of him, but the figure was never produced by Olmec Toys. So, it begs the question as to why Hypno was selected as the next Rulers of the Sun character to join the Origins Line? Perhaps it’s the air of mystery that the figure was never produced, maybe it’s that he is mysterious in that he is a Psychic Hypnotist in either case, this is an exciting addition to the Origins Line! Hypno seems to come with a hypnotic staff with blue & white curvy pattern and a white bird companion. He is dressed in bright orange armor with matching orange loin cloth, orange arm gauntlets, and orange boots with yellow accents. He also seems to be wearing an orange helmet. It’s hard to tell from this image if the helmet is removeable or not.

An amazing custom of this never produced figure was made by Jevaho Creations, photographs are below of this incredible custom figure! The design is spot on! This gives a detailed look at what an official release by Mattel of this figure could look like!
According to Jevaho Creations facebook page:
Hypno, Psychic Hypnotist
Member of the Olmec Rulers of the Sun, from the illustrious 2nd wave of figures that was never released. Legend has it, only the prototype pictured on the back of the Sunman figure exists, its whereabouts unknown.
A returning customer of mine contacted me last year asking if I could recreate him the figure pictured on the backing card as accurate as I could. I accepted the challenge and here’s the result. His silver eagle still missing, but I am working on that. Soon he will be complete!
