Mondo MOTU 200x NYCC 2025 Panel Reveals
The excitement just keeps on building for Mondo’s twelfth scale Masters of the Universe 200x line, as the NYCC 2025 panel brought with it the reveal of two incredible additions with Teela with Orko and Mer-Man! I have to say, seeing these new figures unveiled alongside the already stunning lineup of He-Man, Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, and Clawful has me fired up for what’s next in this dynamic series. Mondo continues to nail the 200x aesthetic, blending modern sculpting detail with that bold, angular cartoon-inspired style that defined the early 2000s era. The Teela with Orko set brings that perfect blend of heroic grace and mystical charm, while Mer-Man looks like he’s stepped straight out of the depths of the 200x seas, loaded with ornate armor and aquatic menace. With these new reveals, Mondo’s 200x collection is shaping up to be one of the most exciting modern interpretations of the MOTU mythos we’ve seen to date, and I can’t wait to see what’s next as they keep expanding this beautifully designed lineup!
Teela and Orko
Teela’s design follows her distinctive 200x cartoon appearance, featuring her updated armor and signature high ponytail. She was shown alongside Orko, marking his inclusion as part of her release. The team highlighted how Teela’s look in the animated series felt like a fresh interpretation for the character, and they expressed enthusiasm about capturing that unique visual style in figure form. Shown in the concept art reveal, Teela features her 200x armor design with gold and turquoise accents, ornate chest and waist armor, and a detailed skirt with feathered trim on her boots. Her long, swept-back hair and confident stance highlight the warrior look of the figure. Included beside her are her signature staff, shield with intricate engravings, and a sword bearing the 200x aesthetic. To the right, Orko is shown in his red and gold outfit with his blue hands and ears peeking out from under his hat, leaning into the 200x styling. Below him is a display base featuring twisted, gnarled roots and grass.

Mer-Man
Mer-Man continues the 200x collection with design cues drawn directly from the show, emphasizing his aquatic environment. The figure includes his crystal accessory, which can be placed inside a pod, mirroring a scene from the series where he interacts with crystals underwater. Mondo noted this as their first Mer-Man in many years, and they were particularly excited to realize him in 1/12 scale with high levels of sculpted and painted detail. The concept art showcases Mer-Man in his 200x design, displaying a heavily scaled, aquatic body with layered armor plates and seaweed-inspired textures. His armor features golden chest plating with a blue gem centerpiece, complemented by a brown belt and loincloth resembling kelp. Multiple head sculpts are shown, each with distinct facial expressions ranging from calm to fierce, capturing his amphibious nature. Accessories include his signature trident, a broad coral-like sword, and a pink crystal. To the right, an underwater base diorama is depicted, filled with coral formations and sea plants.
