I am absolutely buzzing about this one because Mr. Home Arcade does it again and comes through in a huge way, scoring Moss Man from the Wave 2 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection and sending over exclusive pics the day after the figures officially go up for preorder. Talk about perfect timing for collectors who are still riding the high from seeing this wave listed. Getting an early in-hand look at Moss Man right as the preorders hit feels like the ideal one-two punch, and I love that we get to walk through the figure using fresh images straight from someone who really knows how to shoot toys. What makes this even more exciting is knowing that this is just the beginning, because Mr. Home Arcade also has Man-At-Arms and Evil-Lyn waiting in the wings, so this is shaping up to be an amazing little mini run of early Cartoon Collection coverage for Wave 2. In this article, we will take a closer look at Moss Man using his new photos, talk about how cool it is to see this figure come to life in the 200x Cartoon style, and get you ready for what is coming next when the rest of the wave starts to roll in. Be on the checkout Mr. Home Arcade‘s video review on his YouTube channel later!

Moss Man comes packed on a vibrant 200x-style blister card, and I love how the figure sits inside the tray with his earthy green tones and shaggy textures popping against the fiery red and stone-tower backdrop. His club is posed neatly along his side, giving a clean look at the sculpt as he waits to spring from the bubble. Flipping to the back, the card art erupts with action as Moss Man attacks a creature, and you can spot fun teases baked into the scene like Orko peeking from the background and a tease of Evil Seed in the background above the creature, setting up some great hints for what could be coming down the road.

Here is a closer look at the card art showing Orko and Evil-Seed! We are hoping to see Evil-Seed at some point in the line!

The figure shows off his sculpted layers of leafy textures up top that taper into smoother arms, and I’m really digging how the lighter green on his hands and feet gives him that natural gradient. His belt and fur kilt bring in those warm browns that break up the green, while the wrist bands add a little extra flair. Spinning him around reveals a ton of sculpted moss trailing down his back with more of that textured layering, plus you can see how the leg vines and armor pieces wrap cleanly around his calves.

Seeing him from the side really highlights how the layered moss on his shoulders drapes downward with those little hanging strands adding extra texture, and I’m noticing how the head sculpt angles forward just enough to show off the pointed ears and long beard shape. The arm sculpt brings out those carved leaf patterns while the wrist bands sit cleanly without breaking the flow. His waist piece flares outward with a nice staggered edge, and the leg armor wraps tightly along the shins so you get a clear view of how the lighter feet transition into the darker green of his legs.

Here he is stripped down, and I’m really liking how you can see the clean musculature once the leafy armor and loin cloth are removed, which shows just how much those layered pieces bulk him up when fully geared. The removable armor has a great shredded texture that wraps around the torso, while the separate loin cloth brings in that sculpted fur pattern. His mace sits out front with a long, straight handle and a simple, angular head that fits perfectly with the streamlined 200x look, and it feels like a natural extension of the figure when placed in his hand.

Seeing him lined up with the flocked MOTU Origins version really shows how the 200x sculpt leans into sharper, layered details instead of the flocked look, and I’m liking how both share that classic warm belt color even though the builds are totally different. When paired with 200x He-Man, the scale and style fit right in, and the clean armor lines on He-Man make Moss Man’s shredded moss overlays stand out even more as the two figures balance each other visually.
