MOTU Core Battle For Subternia Ground Ripper Release and Pricing Details

Back in May 2026, we stumbled across a listing that pointed to a Masters of the Universe Ground Ripper vehicle potentially heading to the Core line, and at the time we were working off the assumption that it would land under the Core banner based on the clues available. Now we have another pretty significant piece of the puzzle. An Amazon listing we uncovered identifies the Ground Ripper as a MOTU Core release and, even more interestingly, places it under the Battle of Subternia branding. This suggests Mattel is building out Battle of Subternia beyond just action figures. Could vehicles be a bigger part of this new direction for Core, or is the Ground Ripper simply a one-off addition? We’ll have to see, but I like where this could be heading. The Amazon listing has the vehicle priced at $24.99 with a December 2026 delivery date, although there is an interesting wrinkle here. The Deep Discount listing we previously uncovered shows an “available date” of October 30, 2026. At this point, we’re putting a little more weight behind the Amazon information, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the Deep Discount date is wrong. Different retailers can receive and begin shipping products at different times, so we may simply be looking at different release windows depending on where the Ground Ripper is being sold. Either way, with these dates still several months out, I’d treat both as tentative for now. We still don’t have images or any real details about what this version of the Ground Ripper will look like, and that may be the most interesting part considering the history collectors have with the original vehicle. For now, though, we can connect another dot between MOTU Core and Battle of Subternia, and apparently the figures aren’t the only thing coming along for the ride.

Ground Ripper (JRT39) Details From Deep Discount

The newly discovered Masters of the Universe Ground Ripper listing carries UPC 194735427666 and product code JRT39, which places it in the same newer JRT product family as the MOTU Chronicles Sky Sled. While we do not currently have another Ground Ripper listing to directly compare it against, the shared JRT grouping is still noteworthy because Mattel product codes often cluster together by line or assortment type. Unlike the Chronicles Sky Sled, the Ground Ripper listing does not currently reference Chronicles branding, which could suggest it belongs to a different branch of the 2026 MOTU rollout. If Masters of the Universe continues leaning heavily into the movie and Core initiative this year, there is a strong possibility that the Ground Ripper could ultimately land in the kid-focused Core line. That would make a lot of sense considering the Core assortment has already introduced action-feature driven figures like Cannon Transform Trap Jaw and Combat Ready Roboto. We already saw Mattel revisit the Ground Ripper in MOTU Origins, so a modernized version for younger fans feels like a natural next step. Hopefully Mattel fully embraces the classic gimmick and includes a working rip-stick action feature with the vehicle.
