The box art, illustrated by the talented Roy Juarez and team, has been revealed! The MOTU Origins Skeletor x VeeFriends Skilled Skeleton 2-Pack, which was revealed out of nowhere last week, goes up for preorder on October 6, 2023, on Mattel Creations! Until then, we can enjoy the amazing box art!

The illustration of Skeletor is outstanding! The detail put into this skull brings out the depth and dimension to the box!

The unique slip cover opens and closes to reveal the figures but they also mate together to form a single photo!

The back of the packaging is our favorite and it shows Skeletor wielding his havoc staff in a unique illustration that mashes the Origins and VeeFriends worlds together.

The MOTU and VeeFriends art form an amazing single image, bringing to life the words that kicked off this reveal, “? ? WHEN UNIVERSES COLLIDE ? ?.”

The Skelebrtaion begins with this new Mattel Creations Masters of the Universe Skeletor x VeeFriends Skilled Skeleton 2-Pack! Based on the MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Skeletor along with a VeeFriends Skilled glow in the dark Skeleton, this new 2 pack kicks off the Filmation inspired Origins line. GaryVee, the artist behind VeeFriends attributes early interest in collecting to Masters of the Universe. This special Skeletor x VeeFriends Skilled Skeleton 2-Pack comes in collector grade packaging with incredible artwork on all sides that opens up to reveal the Filmation Inspired Cartoon collection Skeletor packed with the Glow in the Dark Skilled Skeleton.

The two style of figures go really well with each other, which makes us think there also might be a He-Man version coming down the pipeline. It’s also great to get another, more professional, look at the upcoming Cartoon Collection Skeletor figure, which uses the new MOTU Origins buck.

The Veefreinds version of Skeletor is glow in the dark, which is a cool feature! Who does not like glow in the dark?

We also have a good look at the swappable faceplates for Skeletor and it’s very cool that they are adding faceplates vs. alternate head sculpts, as this is a more scalable way to create different looks for the same character. Only a select number of figures would be able to utilize this, unless Mattel figures out how to make more figures come with faceplate swaps vs. alternate heads.
