After getting our first proper look at these during Takara Tomy’s Shizuoka Hobby Show 2026 booth, the MPG line is now bringing Blaster into the fold, and seeing the Autobot communicator rendered in this rail-themed Masterpiece format feels like a moment the line has been building toward ever since Soundwave set the standard on the Decepticon side. Transformers MPG MPG-25 Blaster & Steeljaw pairs the iconic boombox bot with his loyal cassette companion, both reimagined through the MPG lens that merges G1 character design with Japanese railway aesthetics, and alongside them comes MPG-24 Eject & Ramhorn, giving collectors two more cassette partners that round out Blaster’s crew in a way that feels genuinely complete rather than piecemeal. Both sets are going up for preorder soon via Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth. I love how the MPG line continues to build out both factions with this kind of thematic consistency, treating each release not just as a standalone piece but as part of a larger collection that rewards commitment, and pairing Blaster with Steeljaw right out of the gate while offering Eject and Ramhorn as their own set shows Takara Tomy understands exactly how collectors want to build out a shelf like this.

Where to Buy

You can preorder the figures at the following retailers below

Transformers MPG MPG-24 Eject & Ramhorn

Eject and Ramhorn each transform from compact cassette forms into their robot and beast modes, respectively. Eject sports a clean blue and white deco with a yellow blaster, while Ramhorn’s rhino mode has a stocky, chunky sculpt with a triple-horned head.

Eject’s cassette mode is shown alongside his robot mode, with the compact rectangular alt mode retaining the same blue and white color blocking and yellow chest details that carry over into robot form. The Autobot insignia sits centered on the cassette’s face between those two yellow panels.

Ramhorn’s cassette mode is a compact brick of burgundy panels with recessed mechanical detailing and an Autobot insignia stamped in the corner. His rhino mode unfolds from that same footprint, with a gold chest section breaking up the monochrome body and those sharp, sculpted horns fanning out from the head.

Eject’s white head sculpt features a flat crest and narrow yellow visor, giving him that classic Headmasters-era look. The blocky lower legs are solid blue with exposed screw heads at the joints, and the white forearms have a chunky, mechanical feel to them.

Transformers MPG MPG 24 Eject & Ramhorn 04

Eject’s blaster has a chunky, detailed sculpt with ribbed barrel housing and a squared-off grip, nestled here in his cassette mode alongside those yellow shoulder panels. The small Autobot insignia is stamped just below the panels on the cassette face.

Transformers MPG MPG 24 Eject & Ramhorn 05

Ramhorn’s rhino mode has a gold missile launcher mounted on his back, with sculpted warhead tips stacked in a row. The Autobot insignia is stamped on the upper body panel, and the gray rubber-tipped toes add a nice material contrast against the burgundy body.

Transformers MPG MPG 24 Eject & Ramhorn 06

The rear of Ramhorn’s cassette mode has a dense arrangement of gold panels with castle-like sculpted battlements and recessed glyph-style detailing across both halves. Silver screw heads dot the burgundy lower section, with mechanical hinge points and tabs running along the center seam.

Transformers MPG MPG 24 Eject & Ramhorn 07

Eject rides atop Ramhorn in a combined display, with the robot figure mounted on the rhino’s broad back. The blue and burgundy color combination between the two figures works really well together.

Transformers MPG MPG 24 Eject & Ramhorn 08

Blaster’s robot mode is dominated by red and gray with a yellow chest cassette door featuring a large Autobot insignia. Two cassette figures, Steeljaw in blue and Ramhorn in burgundy, hover near his chest compartment in their compact tape forms.

Transformers MPG MPG 24 Eject & Ramhorn 09

The accessory layout for Eject and Ramhorn includes a compact blaster, two gold missile launcher pods with sculpted warhead tips, and a pair of pink cassette case halves with cross-shaped pegs molded into their interiors. Those cassette cases have a hinged clamshell design that should snap shut around the tape-mode figures for storage or display.

Transformers MPG MPG-25 Blaster & Steeljaw

Blaster’s boombox alt mode has a gray housing with a red cassette door and speaker grilles on each side, while Steeljaw’s cassette mode sits nearby as a compact yellow rectangle with an Autobot insignia and twin spool details. Steeljaw’s beast mode is a four-legged feline with finned wings along the back and a pointed snout, all in yellow with claws.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 01

Blaster’s robot and boombox modes are shown side by side, with the red and gray color scheme carrying cleanly across both forms and the yellow cassette door with its Autobot insignia serving as the central design anchor in each. The speaker grilles from the boombox mode end up as circular knee details in robot mode, a nice bit of parts integration.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 02

Steeljaw’s cassette and beast modes are displayed together, with the yellow tape form featuring twin spool holes and dual Autobot insignias, and the feline mode showing a sculpted lion head with a pointed snout and finned wings along the spine. The claw details on each paw and small lion head sculpts on the rear legs add character to the beast mode.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 03

Blaster towers over Steeljaw’s compact beast mode, and the scale difference between the two really sells the Masterpiece proportions. His lower legs have large circular speaker details and red button accents, with heavy mechanical sculpting across the gray panels.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 04

Blaster’s chest cassette door with its yellow panel and Autobot insignia is flanked by blocky red shoulder armor, and the gray lower legs feature heavy mechanical sculpting with circular speaker details and red button accents. He carries a detailed rifle with a ribbed barrel and a rounded stock.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 05

Blaster’s lower half is framed here with the gray waist section connecting to those blocky legs, each featuring circular speaker details and red button accents at the feet. The black hip joints provide a sharp color break between the red torso and gray lower body.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 06

Blaster’s white head sculpt has a clean face with blue eyes and red horn-like fins flanking the helmet, sitting neatly above that iconic yellow chest cassette door. The large gray feet have circular speaker details and red button clusters that retain the boombox detailing in robot mode.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 07

Blaster’s boombox mode is shown from the front, with the red cassette door flanked by gray speaker housings and a yellow panel bearing the Autobot insignia. Ring-shaped effect parts are fitted over both speaker grilles, adding a sonic blast effect to the alt mode.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 08

The full accessory spread for Blaster and Steeljaw includes four ring-shaped sonic effect parts with gold bell ends, an alternate head with red horn fins and blue eyes, a detailed rifle with ribbed barrel housing and bipod-style foregrip, a pair of small gold missile launchers, and two rectangular display panels in pink and blue. That’s a generous haul for this set.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 09

Blaster’s chest compartment is open with Steeljaw sitting just above, ready to load in. The chest door hinges down cleanly, and the cassette fits snugly within the recessed bay.

Transformers MPG MPG 25 Blaster & Steeljaw 10

Blaster stands alongside Tracks in robot mode, providing a strong sense of scale against the two Masterpiece-sized bots. Track’s blue deco and wing-backed alt mode kibble contrast sharply with Blaster’s red and gray bulk.
