MOTU Origins ThunderCats London Comic Con 2025 Booth Preview

London Comic Con 2025 is in full swing, and Mattel is bringing the power of Grayskull and Third Earth together in one epic crossover display that’s turning heads and blowing minds! That’s right! Mattel has the Wave 1 and 2 MOTU Origins ThunderCats figures on display! Wave 1 features Lion-O, the fearless leader of the ThunderCats, the agile and fierce Cheetara, the wild Battle Cat-Man , plus the sinister skulled Skell-Ra! And if that wasn’t enough to get your collecting instincts purring, Wave 2 ups the ante with He-Man, the mighty Panthro, and Tygra. Mattel Creations posted some Instagram Reels live from the show so we were able to grab some screenshots of what they have on display. We are hoping to see more images of the figures as images come in but this is all we have for now. Check back for more as London Comic Con 2025 continues through the weekend!

Battle Cat-Man is ready for action!

• This Lion-O action figure is a thrilling crossover of the worlds of Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats, two iconic action figure brands from the 1980s whose legacies continue

Battle Cat Man

• At 5.5-inch scale this figure has 16 movable joints and a double-ended Sword of Plun-Darr accessory. Swappable heads and armor transform Mumm-Ra to Skell-Ra, and back again
• The swappable elements include a Mumm-Ra head and a Skell-Ra head, a cape that reverses from red to purple, a Skeletor-style harness and skirt armor, and a Mumm-Ra style harness, arm wrap and skirt armor
• Character cards are included for Skeletor and Mumm-Ra. They fit together for a fuller picture

Evil awakens with the Skell-Ra Action Figure ($29.99). This is such a cool idea where you get two figures in one! The collaboration of two iconic 80s brands, Masters of the Universe and ThunderCats, yields an action figure of the Ever-Living Evil of Eternia, Skell-Ra! He comes with 2 swappable heads, a reversible purple / red cape, and swappable harness and skirt armor pieces, so he can evolve from Skell-Ra into Mumm-Ra. The Sword of Plun-darr completes the double-edged picture.

You can switch between Skeletor and Mumm-Ra with the figure’s Sword of Plundarr weapon, a reversible cape, swappable heads, and swappable harness and skirt armor pieces. 

A hi res close up of Skell-Ra’s face shows you what an incredible job Mattel did with these sculpts! Skeletor looks super cool with his red eyes and skeleton jaw! Also the face sculpt for Mumm-Ra is so classic looking!

He-Man

He-Man comes with his Power Sword of Omens, cool chest armor that is a nod to Eternia, a mask, and a shield!

He-Man’s mask and long hair give him a totally different look and it’s very cool that his chest armor pays homage to the Eternia Central Tower. The Power Sword of Omens also looks really cool in his hands!

As He-Man strips down to his bare essence as the Most Powerful Man in the Universe, he raises the Power Sword of Omens and it can also stow in his back armor!

Panthro

Panthro comes with an amazing packout with tons of weapons and accessories to achieve his classic and his MOTU look!

Panthro looks awesome all geared up with his armor and weapons! We looks like he can kick some series…you know what!

You can strip Panthro down to his classic ThunderCats appearance and he looks awesome wielding his nunchakus!

Tygra

Tygra comes with his whip and some cool translucent green armor!
