As you recall, last year they announced He-Ro and Masterverse Moss Man plus some other juicy news so we can’t wait! Mattel just pulled back the curtain during their Mattel REVEALED live stream with a fresh round of Masters of the Universe drops, and I’ve got to say, it is always a great feeling when new reveals hit all at once like this. From early looks to key details that collectors have been waiting on, there is a lot to take in here, and it definitely feels like momentum is continuing to build across the line. We are breaking everything down for you below so you can get a clear look at what was shown and what it means for your collection.

Laser Power He-Man

Laser Power He-Man is a recreation of one of the rarest vintage Masters of the Universe figures ever produced. The original figure was released late in the vintage line and was not available in the United States, making it largely unknown to many fans at the time and highly sought after on the secondary market. Mattel’s new version is designed to stay true to the original figure’s look and feel while updating it with modern articulation and construction. The team referenced archive materials and vintage samples to refine the sculpt, maintaining the core design while adapting features that would not translate directly to modern engineering. The release gives collectors a chance to own a version of a figure that has historically been difficult and expensive to acquire. It features a classic-inspired aesthetic with updated functionality, and was scheduled to go live on Mattel Creations around the end of the livestream. I really like how the light up Power Sword becomes the focal point here, with the bright yellow blade glowing cleanly against the darker shot and making the accessory pop in He Man’s raised hand. The cord trailing down from the sword adds that wired effect tied to the feature, while the figure’s classic harness, wrist cuffs, and boots stay secondary as the illuminated blade does all the work.

I like how the light up Power Sword immediately draws your eye again, this time extending forward with that same bright yellow glow that carries through the blade. The wired connection is clearly visible running from the sword back to the waist-mounted power unit, giving a clean look at how the feature is integrated. From this wider view, you can see how the setup reads all together on the figure without getting too deep into the sculpt just yet.

The card art up top shows He Man lunging forward with the wired sword in hand, clashing against Skeletor who is depicted with a similar tech setup, which I think is a really cool nod to the Laser Light Skeletor concept right on the packaging. The figure sits inside a clear window box with the sword, power unit, and tubing visible, giving you a full look at how everything is packed together, while the desert style backdrop behind him ties back into the scene illustrated above.

Getting in close, I like how the metallic silver belt really pops here with that raised “H” detail catching the light, giving it a clean, reflective finish. The harness straps wrap tightly around the torso and connect into the side-mounted power unit, and you can clearly see the tubing running from that unit toward the sword, tying the whole feature together at this scale.

I think it’s cool how the power unit is fully built out here, with the rectangular pack sitting flush against the back and those molded panel lines giving it a mechanical look. The tubing runs cleanly from the pack up through the arm and into the sword hilt, and you can see how the connection point is designed right at the base of the handle to support the light feature.

I like how the sword is pushed into that stylized glow here, with a bright yellow core surrounded by a heavier neon edge that almost flickers along the outline. It definitely reads more like an enhanced effect for the video, since the blade appears thicker and more radiant than the actual piece, giving it that amplified energy look on screen.

I like seeing these side by side because you can immediately pick up on how the overall setup carries forward, with both figures featuring the same harness, wired tubing, and sword connection concept. The vintage release on the left shows a simpler sculpt with a flatter finish on the belt and harness, while the newer Origins version on the right sharpens those details with a more defined belt emblem, cleaner panel lines on the power unit, and a brighter translucent blade for the sword. The packaging art also mirrors the idea across both, with the newer release updating the scene while still keeping that same core action moment intact.
