Preternia Weapons Pack Ancient Creatures and Artifacts 2025 Los Amigos Convention Exclusive

The “Los Amigos Convention” refers to a convention for collectors of Masters of the Universe MOTU collectibles, with a focus on custom and exclusive items, and it is known for its exclusive releases and collaborations. Last year, we got an AMAZING Fang-Or and Reptilax MOTU Origins Snake Attack Pack and this years MOTU Weapons Pack 2025 Los Amigos Convention exclusive is going to blow you away! axel.gimenez, along with bujubu and javila3d, announced on Instagram: “A new custom Weapons Pack for Origins figures (although they may fit Classics style too) will be an @los_amigos_convention 2025 exclusive” and they put out a teaser video! Let’s run down what is in this amazing exclusive Weapons Pack! The artists and creators are sharing their progress for the Preternia Weapons Pack along the way so let’s dive in!

April 27, 2025 Update: Preternia Pack Teaser

bujubu released some work in progress images of the actual weapons and creatures for the exclusive weapons pack. He posted on Instagram by saying, “A little teaser of the Preternia Pack I am doing with @axel.gimenez and @thesecretsoforko for @los_amigos_convention this year. More details soon!” and showed these images.

April 26, 2025 Update: Box and Art Revealed

The official packaging has been revealed for the Los Amigos 2025 MOTU Con Exclusive! Axel posted by saying, “@los_amigos_convention Exclusive Pack including custom accessories for some Masters of the Universe Origins figures.” The name of the set has also been revealed to be the Preternia Pack: Ancient Creatures and Artifatcs.

Axel Gimenez also revealed the final box art for the con exclusive! He posted on Instagram, “Once again, I’ve collaborated with @dc_alonso_colorist creating the artwork for this year’s @los_amigos_convention Exclusive Pack, and also prints that the convention will be creating on their own.”

April 25, 2025 Update: Glacior Cameo

According to Axel Gimenez, Glacior, a character created by Javi (aka @thesecretsoforko) will be making a cameo on the box art for the Weapons Pack! He said, “Glacior, a character created by Javi @thesecretsoforko, will have a “cameo” appearance in the box art of this year’s @los_amigos_convention exclusive accessories pack. Line art by me with colors by @dc_alonso_colorist.”

Manta Ray | Vypor

As designed in the MOTU Classics line, Vypor would reuse parts from Snake Face, Lord Dactus and Prahvus but he would need new armor, a new head and a new neck piece. We did see this figure come to the MOTU Origins line but the concept for MOTU Classics had some very cool weapons and accessories!

The official images of Vypor have been uploaded to Amazon and he looks amazing! Looks like they made his armor a deeper gold and he looks fantastic!!! Here are the product details for Vypor and the images show his articulated jow:

• Based on the original design by Axel Gimenez, this character was originally featured in the vintage Snake Men series. Now he appears as the deep-cuts Origins figure fans have been hoping for.
• Vypor is armored in a detailed harness with removable neck piece with 2 real metal chains and removable skirt armor.

With the Manta Ray, shown here painted in gold with green eyes, would help complete Vypor as this piece is an homage to the mote found in the Eternia playset!

Medallion of Sherpos | Vypor

To complete the Vypor accessories, he also comes with the Medallion of Sherpos! A prototype is shown below painted in gold with a red eye!

Sword | Demo-Man

The MOTU team also had a produced figure for Demo-Man for the MOTU Origins line! He first made his appearance in the MOTU Classics line and we are also getting him in Origins! According to his MOTU Classics bio, “Realizing his pupil Keldor had no intention of releasing him from Despondos, Hordak merged him with an extra-dimensional being called Demo-Man. While this saved Keldor’s life, it also drove him temporarily insane and convinced him to open a portal to Despondos and lead what he thought were “his people” into Eternia. Hordak intended to use this ruse as a means to escape once the portal was opened, but the new merged being “Skeletor” was quickly defeated by Oo-Larr, the Jungle He-Man, and Hordak remained trapped. Soon after, with the help of Evil-Lyn, Skeletor gained control of the powerful spirit inside him, increasing his abilities ten-fold. He was now the true Overlord of Evil and one of the most dangerous men on Eternia!” Demo Man’s sword is also pictured below!

The concept for the sword is shown on Demo-Man’s mini comic!

Schminivit Friend | Red Shadow

According to Axel, “One of my first projects for Mattel in 2013 was to design five figures for the Masters of the Universe Classics line. From those, Fang-Or, The Great Black Wizard, and Red Shadow are my favorites.” Back in November 2023, I wrote an article proclaiming that Red Shadow could possibly be coming to the Masters of the Universe Origins line. If you are unaware of who Red Shadow is or where he came from, we can fill you in. Red Shadow was another one of Axel Gimenez’s MOTU Classics concepts that was never produced in the line. We got excited when Red Shadow was teased on Moss Man’s box art and we are patiently waiting for him to come to the line. While we wait patiently for Red Shadow to join the MOTU Origins line, his little Schminivit friend from the Filmation cartoon will be part of this weapons pack.

We can see a 3D prototype of our little friend and he looks adorable!

We, of course, would love to see Axel’s concept officially come to life in plastic but while we wait to hear, we can feast our eyes on a custom that was created by bombstaroutkast (sub his YT Channel too!) and images by the one and only Mr. Home Arcade, who also has his little friend beside him!

Glow in the Dark Skull Head | Lady Slither

One of the coolest items in the Weapons pack is a glow in the dark head for Lady Slither! When she was annopunced, Lady Slither was a huge surprise!

The glow in the dark head is going to look freaking amazing and is a must have!

Also teased in the announcement was an exclusive illustration by Axel Gimenez for the concention and the Weapons Pack!

In an Instagram Story, Axel Gimenez posted one of this famous “working…” reels and it showed the stunning progress on the exclusive Weapons Pack art!
