Grab your Oaklies and your leather jacket because it’s that time of year again, and SDCC season is upon us! Mattel kicks it off with this “A Shark Among Us” Ripster Street Sharks Mattel Creations Exclusive as part of their Unlock Fandom event! One of the first looks we get to Mattel’s 2024 SDCC exclusives is this “A Shark Among Us” Street Shark Ripster! This one will be part of the Unlock Fandom event that occurs before San Diego Comic Con. This exclusive will retail for $40. The Street Sharks 30th anniversary celebration continues as Ripster runs the table in this look straight out of the fan-favorite animated episode “A Shark Among Us.” We’ve updated our action figure to maintain his ‘90s jawesomeness while upgrading his wardrobe, increasing the articulation points, modernizing his detailed sculpt, and adding “real-feel” skin. Shutting down evil gangs is back like a shark attack.

The box is adorned with Jawsome illustrations of Ripster and his Street Shark buddies. you can see Super Slammu and Streex in the illustration as well, so here is hoping they are coming to the line next! We did get to see them in the promotional video that Mattel had put out when the Street Sharks were unveiled!

There are additional illustrations on the othe side of the packaging as well.

This exclusive version of Ripster comes packaged in a special edition brick laid box with window display.

Ripster comes dressed in a stylish soft goods leather jacket complete with real zipper! He also has pool cue, blast effect and a pair of Oaklies! ( sunglasses for those of you who don’t remember those in the 80’s LOL!) This looks to be a repaint of the standard retail edition of Ripster, but it’s hard to tell if he is a brighter blue color or the same.
