It is one of those surprise mornings where you open your email with zero expectations and suddenly find yourself wide awake because something very real just landed in your inbox, and that is exactly what happened when viewer Dale reached out with in hand images of the Samurai He Man 200x Cartoon Collection figure after scoring one from Australia of all places, and I have to say this is the kind of collector moment that still gets me genuinely excited because this figure has been a complete mystery ever since Samurai He-Man surfaced out of thin air during the October 2025 edition of Walmart Collector Con and Walmart has since pulled the listing. Seeing the box art in hand finally brings clarity to what all the fuss has been about, especially for those of us who follow the 200x Cartoon Collection closely and remember how unexpected this reveal felt at the time, almost like it slipped through the cracks without the usual buildup or fanfare. What makes this even more interesting is that months have gone by with no official follow up of the official box art beyond that initial official images, so getting real world photos from a collector who actually found it on shelves feels like a small victory for the community. There is something especially satisfying about these kinds of finds because they remind me why toy hunting still matters, why checking those pegs and endcaps can pay off, and why collector to collector sharing is such a huge part of what we do here. Big thanks to Dale from Australia for taking the time to send these over, because moments like this help turn rumor into reality and give us a much clearer look at a figure. He’s also sending over in-hand images of the figure itself so be on the lookout for those later!

Box

Illustrated by the talented fetch.franciscoetchart, the figure comes sealed on a standard MOTU Origins 200x Cartoon Collection deluxe box that neatly displays the He-Man front and center, while the extra helmeted head, sword, and armor pieces are tucked along the sides in separate cavities, and I like how everything feels visible and deliberate without looking crammed. Flipping it around, the card back artwork leans hard into the 200x cartoon look, showing Samurai He-Man mid-action with the sword swung low and armor fully engaged, giving the character a sense of motion and weight that jumps right off the box.

Who is that shadowed figure lurking in the background of the art? It’s none other than Samurai Skeletor! We are thinking this is a deliberate tease as you have to have He-Man’s counterpart as a figure in plastic for line so we hope to see him revealed / announced or dropped out of the blue at a Walmart Collector Con.

The side box art shows Samurai He Man fully armored with the horned helmet in place, gripping the sword as the layered blue armor, red accents, and circular chest emblem are front and center, and I keep staring at how the segmented plating and belt details translate the figure’s design into illustrated form. The opposite panel tightens in on a profile view of the helmet, highlighting the sculpted face guard, curved horns, and textured armor panels along the shoulder and chest.

Samurai Skeletor Box Art Tease

The box art tease shows Samurai Skeletor raised high with crackling purple energy wrapping around the scene, and I can’t help but zoom in on the background where another armored figure is looming in the distance. The silhouette feels deliberate, with a distinct stance and weapon shape that looks too specific to be random, and it immediately has me wondering if this is another Samurai themed character being quietly set up. I love when packaging does this kind of visual foreshadowing because it turns the art into part of the reveal and now I’m stuck staring at that shadow trying to connect the dots.

Samurai Skeletor is shown in full samurai style armor with layered purple and dark gray plating covering his torso, arms, and legs, topped with a horned helmet that frames his skull face tightly.

I like how the animation emphasizes the bulk of the armor as he grips a ram headed staff, the curved horns and glowing eyes of the staff echoing his own skull expression as he leans forward. In another moment, I’m catching his red eyes flaring beneath the helmet as one arm swings out, the armor shifting with the motion and giving the scene that sharp, aggressive 200x animated energy.

Samurai Skeletor is shown standing tall in full armor, with long, segmented leg guards that extend down into oversized skull shaped footwear, immediately giving me that exaggerated height and presence. I’m noticing how the proportions really stretch him upward, especially in the wide stance shot where the armor plates stack vertically and make his silhouette feel almost stilted. As he leaps forward with the ram skull staff raised, the extended lower legs and narrow connection points reinforce that stilt like look, and based on this animation I am fully expecting the figure version to mirror the same tall, elevated stance we saw with the Samurai He Man release.

As we get closer to Walmart Collector Con 2025, things are starting to heat up as early listings are surfacing online, giving us a peek behind the curtain before the official reveals drop. What’s really interesting this time around is that some of these figures are showing up under code names, but the details in the listings are spilling the beans! One that immediately jumped out to me was the listing for ORIGINSDELUXEDEVIATE, which appears in Walmart’s Collector Con page and plain as day in the “About this item” section as none other than an ORIGINS DELUXE SAMURAI HE-MAN! Seeing these types of figures pop up early in the system is always an adrenaline rush because it not only confirms that Mattel is pushing deep into the variant and themed side of the MOTU Origins line, but it also sets the stage for some truly wild reveals during Collector Con. We were not expecting this and with Samurai He-Man being called out directly, it leaves me wondering what else might be lurking behind these coded entries. If one figure like this has already surfaced, chances are we’re in for a flurry of exciting discoveries as the event gets closer, and I can’t wait to see what other surprises Walmart and Mattel have up their sleeves! This figure is set to drop on October 10, 2025 at 7am PT!

Promotional Video Starring Sam Pak

A brand-new promotional video has just been added to the Samurai He-Man product page, giving fans an even deeper look at this incredible figure. The video features the talented Design Sam Pak, who walks us through the sculpt, detailing, and design inspiration while tying the figure directly to the 200x Masters of the Universe cartoon. Not only does it offer a closer look at how the design team faithfully brought this animated era of He-Man to life, but it also gives us a tantalizing preview of what the artwork might look like for the deluxe packaging, which has yet to be revealed by Roy Juarez. For collectors who love the artistry behind the packaging as much as the figures themselves, this video is a must-watch glimpse into what’s to come.

The opener features Samurai Armor He-Man standing powerfully against a fiery red and orange cosmic backdrop, sword in hand and glowing with energy. He’s clad in blue and red armor with silver detailing, evoking the 200x design, as the “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” logo blazes above him and text on the right announces the “Deluxe Samurai Armor He-Man,” exclusive to Walmart.

It highlights how the blue and red armor pieces fit over the body, the helmet design, and how the Power Sword looks in hand from multiple angles, offering a more accurate sense of the figure’s final production look.
