Scareglow and Scare-Mare Mondo MOTU Sixth Scale Prototype Images

Huge shout out to @parksandcons for taking video of Mondo MOTU Scareglow and Scare Mare prototypes at the Monster Palooza convention in Pasadena, California! Scare Mare, formerally called Nyte-Mare, was panel revealed at Power Con 2023 while Scareglow was revealed during Designer Con 2023. Both Scareglow and Scare Mare are coming out amazing and we can’t wait for the finished product, which is expected in Summer 2024. While they did not give an exact date, Summer is just around the corner and our wallets will be hurtin’ for certain as Scareglow will look outstanding sitting atop his stead! We are hoping that Nyte-Mare provides the base tooling for She-Ra’s stead, Swift Wind!

Scareglow Mondo Sixth Scale Prototype

This prototype version of Scareglow is looking amazing with his purple wired cape and dangling metal chains. The chains are in a few places on the figure as they are around his collar piece and they are dangling from the left and right side of his body. He comes with a massive sickle which is a very appropriate for the MOTU harbinger of death.

Taking a closer look at the lower body, the shin armor is intricalty detailed and you can see the group of skulls at the end of the massive sickle.

The sickle pays homage to Scareglow’s vintage MOTU weapon while providing an updated, more intricately detailed sculpt. On one side of the sickle is the classic looking halberd weapon and the other side of the weapon is the large sickle end. Believe you/me, you don’t want to be on the business end of this weapon!

Skulls are a plenty as we get a closer look at the end of the sickle and the shin armor. Scareglow will be available for preorder in the Summer months of 2024!

Scareglow Panel Reveal Designer Con 2023

On a deep dive into the new 15″ vintage Scareglow soft vinyl figure, Mondo showed off some concept art for their upcoming deluxe sixth scale Scareglow! Reportedly the concept art was shown at DesignerCon 2023. This new Scareglow will be an updated design and new features he did not come with in his first release. This version of Scareglow will have sculpted bones on the body itself so you will be able to see the sculpted bones coming out of his body and give him an updated look. Reported to be going up for preorder in the Summer of 2024, Scareglow will also have a brand new steed he will be riding, called Nyte-Mare, which was revealed at Power Con 2023.

Adding amazing accessories to Scareglow is only the beginning! Scareglow’s real name is Karak NulIn and his MOTU Classics bio sheds some light on his past. In life, Nul was a shifty bounty hunter who spent years attempting to break into Castle Grayskull, obsessed with the countless legends that it contained the power to be Master of the Universe. In death, he was cursed and banished into the dimension of Infinita, forever chained to his past crimes. He was brought back to Eternia by a magical spell of light cast by Skeletor to locate the most evil warriors in the five dimensions. Provided with a Scythe of Doom, Nul agreed to join forces with Skeletor and quickly became known as Scareglow, thanks to his ability to burst forth and freeze his enemies with fright. Monodo wanted give a face to the name and they have created a pre-transformation version of Scareglow (aka Nul) and a mid transformation head! You’ll also see the regular version head of Scareglow and a vintage version, giving you 4 ways to display this cool figure!

Scare Mare Mondo Sixth Scale Protoype

Scare Mare is looking fantastic with his ginormous wingspan. Clad in spooky armor complete with chains, Scareglow’s ride will be a difficult one to pass up!

Adorned in armor throughout most of his body, Scare Mare also comes with metal chains that are dangling from the front, which goes along with Scareglow’s aesthetic.

Taking a closer look at the leg armor, it is studded with small spikes with a skull on each piece of the leg armor.

Nyte-Mare Panel Reveal

Nyte-Mare is Scare Glow’s new ride and I am sure he is going to be huge considering Scare Glow is 15″ tall! Nyte-Mare is an all new Animal in the MOTU cannon, so it is incredible to see Mondo diving into this! He looks to also have a translucent Skeleton like body with removeable purple armor!
