Hot off the heels of the Wave 1 reveal, the Nacelle Company is coming in hot with Sectaurs Wave 2: General Spidrax and Bandor!

Special thanks to the Pop Insider for bringing us some amazing Sectaurs news as Sectaurs Wave 2 was announced! Back in August we saw the return of the Sectaurs and hot off the heels of that news, we saw Dargon and Stelara go up for preorder in September!

“Sectaurs Wave 2 is set to include Bandor, a previously unreleased figure from the original Sectaurs line. He’s been described as “a slimy thief who is trusted by no one — not even his evil cohorts from the Dark Domain. Savage, unpredictable, and opportunistic, Bandor may align himself with the Dark Domain, but his true loyalty lies only with himself. The wave will also include General Spidrax, the hideous leader of the Dark Domain’s armies. The Nacelle Co. says “Armed with a whip coated in lethal poison, Slazor, Skall shield, net, and twin Venguns, General Spidrax presents a serious problem to the Shining Realm in the battle for Symbion. Unlike most Sectaurs, General Spidrax enslaved his animal companion, Spider-Flyer, rather than form a bond with it.”

General Spidrax

General Spidrax was the leader of the Dark Domain’s armies in the vintage line, and his bio reads as follows:

Cold, calculating and ruthless—driven by an insatiable desire for power—General Spidrax™ is totally devoid of all positive emotion. Outwardly dedicated to the service of the Empress, his real ambition is to seize control of the Dark Domain and then… all of Symbion™. A master in weaponry, Spidrax prefers using the ancient Skall™ shield, and a whip fashioned from the venom-tipped antenna of the dreaded Triceralon™, one of the most feared beasts of Symbion. Spidrax is telebonded to Spiderflyer™, who trusts no one but Spidrax himself. Like his master, Spiderflyer has multiple eyes (three of which are open at all times) and can see simultaneously in many different directions; it is almost impossible to creep up on him. Spiderflyer’s most valued asset—beside his great strength and powerful front pincers—is his venom-coated web which instantly renders his victims unconscious.

Spidrax Vintage Figure

Spridrax was originally packed with the Spiderflyer, a cool winged puppet, which made these figures and creatures quite unique for the time.

General Spidrax was the leader of the Dark Domain’s armies in the vintage line and, according to Wikipedia:

“Hideous leader of the Dark Domain’s armies, armed with a whip coated in lethal poison. Unlike most Sectaurs, he enslaved his animal companion, Spider-Flyer, rather than form a bond with it.[4] This was possibly because Spidrax had no forehead antennae (which all other Sectaurs possess) with which to initiate the tele-bonding process, but also to show his cruelty. Spidrax’s weapons included a venom whip, Slazor, Skall shield, net, and twin Venguns. Spider-Flyer was a Flying Steed with biting mandibles. Like Dargon, the second wave of toys was to have featured a Night Fighting Spidrax, which included a staff weapon, boomerang, and attachable armor which glowed in the dark. Night Fighting Spidrax would have been paired with an Action Bug named Stranglebug, which was a spider with unusually long bendable legs that could be wrapped around a figure. Unlike Night Fighting Dargon, however, Night Fighting Spidrax went unreleased with the rest of the second series.”
