Vintage Figures
Quicksilver Vintage Figure
Released in 1986, Quicksilver’s vintage action figure was the star of the line with it’s shinny vac-metal finish and being the leader of the group, it was the figure that every kid wanted! It showcased his distinctive appearance from the animated series, including his metal wings and cybernetic enhancements. The vintage Quicksilver was designed to resemble the character and featured his signature colors and details. He came with his trusty bird friend, Tally-Hawk! Pictured below is Quicksilver from my personal collection, the only vintage Silverhawk I own, but I love him!
Bluegrass vintage figure
The SilverHawks Bluegrass vintage action figure was released in 1986 by Kenner as part of the SilverHawks toy line. Bluegrass is a cyborg cowboy with a blue and silver outfit, complete with a cowboy hat and robotic wings. He is armed with a laser rifle and has a power action feature that allows his wing to flap when a button on his back is pressed.
The figure stands approximately 6 inches tall and is highly detailed, with intricate sculpting and vibrant paint applications. Bluegrass was a popular character from the SilverHawks animated television series, which aired in the 1980s and followed a group of cybernetically enhanced heroes who fought against the evil Mon*Star and his minions. Bluegrass was known for his shinny blue vac metal and came with his companion guitar shaped bird Side Man.
The SilverHawks Bluegrass vintage action figure is considered a collectible item among fans of 80s toy lines and nostalgic collectors. It can be found in good condition in various online marketplaces and toy shops, often fetching higher prices for mint-in-box versions.
Vintage Steelheart
Steelheart was released by Kenner in 1986 as part of the Silverhawks toy line and came packaged with her companion bird Rayzor. According to Steelheart | ThunderCats wiki | Fandom: Sergeant Emily Hart is Will Hart‘s twin sister. They are the “scientists” and “gearheads” of the team. They share an empathic bond in that when one sibling feels something, the other feels it as well. They are the only SilverHawks who have had real stainless steel hearts implanted during their transformation. She and her brother were the ones who created the four Fighting Hawks. Her weapon-bird is Rayzor.
Vintage Mon*star
Mon*star were both also released in 1986 as part of the Kenner Toy Line. According to Mon*Star | ThunderCats wiki | Fandom : Mon*Star is the Mob Boss and the main antagonist of SilverHawks and especially Stargazer. He is known to ride Sky-Runner, a giant squid. Later, Hardware develops a fighting hawk for Mon*Star, the Sky-Shadow. Buzz-Saw is a robot henchman of the Mon*Star gang.
Silverhawks Animated Series
SilverHawks is an animated television series that aired from 1986 to 1987. It was produced by Rankin/Bass Productions, the same company that created ThunderCats. The show was about a team of cyborgs who are assembled by a good-hearted commander named Stargazer to help protect the galaxy from the evil Mon*Star and his gang of space criminals. The cyborgs are led by Quicksilver, who is able to fly at incredible speeds, and they all have weapons and abilities that make them unique. The SilverHawks were very popular in the mid-80s, and the show had a big impact on the toy industry. The toy line featured a range of action figures, vehicles, playsets, and even an electronic game. Despite its short run, SilverHawks has remained a cult favorite among fans of 80s cartoons. It’s known for its sci-fi themes, memorable characters, and catchy theme song.
Quicksilver serves as the team’s leader, and alongside his fellow Steelwill, Bluegrass, and Steelheart fights against the villainous Mon*Star and his gang of intergalactic criminals known as the Mob.
Bluegrass is a member of the SilverHawks team in the animated television series of the same name. He is the team’s marksman and sharpshooter, known for his exceptional accuracy and precision with his weapons. Bluegrass is an expert pilot and skilled in aerial combat, often seen flying the team’s spaceship, the Mirage. He has a blue and white bird-like appearance, with wings and talons that help him fly and navigate the skies. Bluegrass is a brave and loyal member of the team, always ready to take on any challenge to protect the galaxy from evil forces.
