Skele-Shredder MOTU Origins Turtles of Grayskull Package Reveal
Last week, Mattel dropped a bombshell with their reveal of their SDCC 2025 exclusive Skele-Shredder, the latest crossover creation from the Turtles of Grayskull line—and this figure is pure evil perfection. Now Roy Juarez has revealed the packaging and artwork for this incredible SDCC 2025 exclusive. More than just a toy, Skele-Shredder is the terrifying fusion of two iconic villains: Shredder’s razor-sharp martial arts mastery meets the dark sorcery of Skeletor. The design blends Shredder’s classic armor with the eerie, arcane elements of Skeletor’s skeletal mystique, creating a hybrid that looks like he clawed his way out of both dimensions. And the coolest feature? The figure comes with three interchangeable heads representing each stage of his Ooze-fueled transformation: one as Shredder, one as Skeletor, and a final, fully merged Skele-Shredder MOTU Origins Turtles of Grayskull figure. So let’s take a look at the incredible Skele-Shredder MOTU Origins Turtles of Grayskull Package Reveal!

Mattel Creations also posted a fun video about the figure and said “Skeletor 🤝 Shredder. Villainy officially reaches a whole new level. Here is the amazing packaging for Skele-Shredder that also doubles as a backdrop for his throne!

The box art features Skele-Shredder’s face, which pays homage to the front door of Castle Grayskull and features a hexagonal box with a slide-out blister.

This brand-new figure brings to life the ultimate mashup villain in the Turtles of Grayskull crossover universe. Skele-Shredder is a wicked fusion of TMNT’s Shredder and MOTU’s Skeletor, combining the raw physical power of a martial arts master with the dark, magical menace of Eternia’s most feared sorcerer. He’s designed to be the centerpiece villain of the line—equal parts brutal and mystic.

Customize Skele-Shredder’s look with three swappable heads, each representing a stage in his terrifying transformation—from pure Shredder, to Skeletor, to the monstrous fused form. He also wields a wicked staff made of bone and steel, crowned with a ram’s head that nods to Skeletor’s sinister legacy.

Skele-Shredder doesn’t just come ready for battle—he rules from a throne inspired by feudal Japan and the Foot Clan’s legacy. The throne includes several removable weapons, making it both a display centerpiece and an armory ready for war.

His armor features jagged, metallic gray shoulder plates, a flowing purple cape, and bone-like details along his boots and gauntlets, giving him a monstrous and undead appearance. The most striking feature is his grotesque green helmet with bladed ridges and an exaggerated, snarling yellow skull face, blending Shredder’s iconic headgear with Skeletor’s skeletal visage. This design perfectly captures the hybrid horror of the character—part sorcerer, part ninja warlord, and all evil.

Skele-Shredder Prototype
You never know what you are going to come across in your travels on the internet! Did we catch a clue that the MOTU Origins Turtles of Grayskull line is continuing? As I was surfing Instagram, saintgong posted an image of what appears to be a test shot/prototype of a Skeletor Shredder that appeared in the Reptile Wars Part 1: Snake in the Shadows mini comic. As I was chatting with saintgong, I was curious to know if this was a fan made custom or a prototype test shot and he confirmed that he purchased a prototype on the secondary market. As we can’t confirm the origin (pun intended) of the figure, it does look like it’s legit and wouldn’t that be amazing if the Turtles of Grayskull line would continue for a few more waves! In fact, they have a blue print for future figures teased in Wave 4 Mini Comic. If this is, in fact, a fan made custom, it is pretty damn remarkable but, for now, let’s take a look at a figure that brings the illustration we saw in the mini comic to life! Huge thanks to toyhuntershollow for helping me noodle through this and to toyhuntershollow and Mr. Home Arcade for sending a pic of the illustration from the mini comic!

If this is an actual test shot/prototype of the a future figure, this would be unreal as the Turtles of Grayskull line will be continuing for the foreseeable future!

Here are some more shots of the Shredder Skeletor figure and figure represents a lot of the aspects of the illustration we saw in the mini comic!

Here are some more pics of SkeleShredder posed with his vintage Shredder and Skeletor figures as he takes them both out with ease and also steals their weapons in the process.

An unsuspecting Mer-Man also happens across SkeleShredder and gets the short end of the stick!
