Possible MOTU Transformers Crossovers Teased Coming Soon

Aa Optimus Prime Armor He-Man and Starscream Armor Scareglow were teased, it looks like collectors could be in store for even more MOTU Transformers crossover magic in a few days! Mattel Creations has another scheduled drop coming up on September 26, 2025, and while details are still under wraps, the timing lines up perfectly for additional crossover figures to join the lineup. With the He-Man/Optimus Prime and Scareglow/Starscream tease in the minicomic, it wouldn’t be surprising if Mattel already has produced these figures. Collectors will want to keep their eyes glued to the Mattel Creations site as the 26th approaches, as these exclusives have proven to be highly sought after and quick to sell out. Although we could be way off in this speculation, given the hints outlined in the Mattel Creations post, all signs point to more MOTU Transformers.

Starscream Armor Scareglow

In the mini comic that comes with the first wave of MOTU Transformers, Starscream Armor Scareglow bursts onto the page with a striking fusion of Transformers tech and MOTU menace, sporting Starscream’s angular red, yellow, and grey jet armor reimagined over Scareglow’s eerie, skeletal frame. The torso carries the classic cockpit chest and wing-mounted detailing, while his limbs blend mechanical plating with bone-like structure, glowing in a spectral yellow hue. Purple ghostly energy swirls around him, hinting at Scareglow’s supernatural origins, and his skull head sits menacingly within the armored frame, completing this mash-up of cybernetic power and undead terror—a design that feels tailor-made for a potential Wave 2 MOTU Transformers crossover release.

Optimus Prime Armor He-Man

Optimus Prime Armor He-Man commands attention with a perfect blend of Eternian might and Autobot engineering, donning Prime’s iconic red, silver, and blue armor across his muscular frame. The chest features the familiar truck grill plating with angular shoulder pauldrons, while the blue helmet with silver faceplate and crest seamlessly integrates into He-Man’s heroic visage. His lower legs sport mechanical wheel-like armor, and his right hand wields a massive Power Sword upgraded with Cybertronian detailing, merging the tech of the Autobots with the magic of Eternia. This powerhouse fusion looks ready to lead the charge, making him an ideal contender for a Wave 2 MOTU Transformers crossover figure.

Mr. Home Arcade In-Hand Images

The custom figure brings to life the concept teased in the MOTU x Transformers mini comic, where He-Man dons a set of Autobot-inspired armor forged by Man-At-Arms. The figure captures the look from the page with a red and silver armored chest piece sporting mechanical details and the Autobot insignia, oversized shoulder plating, and blue mechanical boots. One version shows him with the classic Optimus Prime helmet and orange Energon axe, paired with a large blaster, pulling directly from Prime’s iconic arsenal. Another swaps in He-Man’s head, keeping the armored body intact, creating the fusion look teased in the comic. This figure effectively realizes what the crossover hinted at—He-Man as Eternia’s version of Optimus Prime in battle gear.

A really fun detail with this custom is that both the Matrix of Leadership and the Autobot symbol chest plates are swappable, giving you options for how to gear him up. They can peg right onto the Power Sword, which adds an extra layer of play and display value whether you want He-Man channeling the Matrix or showing allegiance with the Autobot crest, you can switch it out and create different looks on the fly.

Mr. Home Arcade took the concept a step further by swapping in a classic He-Man head, making it look like he’s just removed his Optimus Prime helmet. With the bulky Autobot armor still strapped on and the Matrix sitting at his chest, the effect gives off the impression that He-Man himself is piloting the Prime gear rather than fully becoming him—almost like a removable battle mask that blends Eternia’s champion with Cybertron’s leader.

Bombstaroutkast Concept

Bombstaroutkast’s custom show off some unique touches, with one look pairing the orange energon axe and Autobot shield for a strong nod to Prime’s weaponry, while the other swaps in a massive blaster that really changes the silhouette of the figure. The shield design pops with a metallic silver rim and textured red faceplate, complete with an Autobot emblem at the center, giving it a more mechanical feel compared to traditional MOTU shields. The armor itself has a bulkier, more rugged build here, with exaggerated shoulder plating and a slightly different finish that sets these customs apart from later refinements.

The customs from Bombstaroutkast highlight the creative experimentation with weapons and detailing. One look arms him with his orange energon axe really plays nicely against the red armor, while the other poses him with the Power Sword slotted through the Matrix of Leadership, giving the blade a hybrid Eternian-Cybertronian upgrade.

Mini Comic: By The Energon of Grayskull

The mini comic cover features vibrant artwork of Bumblebee Armor Man-At-Arms and Megatron Armor Skeletor locked in an intense battle. Man-At-Arms, clad in yellow and blue armor with the Autobot insignia on his chest, raises his fist in defiance, while Skeletor, in gray and purple armor with the Decepticon insignia, grips him with one arm and aims his massive fusion cannon with the other. Explosive clouds and streaks of orange and purple fill the background, heightening the sense of action. The Masters of the Universe × Transformers logo is prominently displayed at the top, with the bold title “By the Energon of Grayskull” along the bottom.

Pages 1 and 2 of the minicomic set the stage for the crossover, beginning on Cybertron where the civil war between Autobots and Decepticons has ravaged the planet over control of Energon. The Autobots flee in search of a new home, but the Decepticons pursue them with the goal of eradicating all Autobots. As their situation becomes dire, the Autobot Ark ejects its historical archives to preserve their legacy and warn others. The archive pod travels across the universe, eventually landing on Eternia, where Man-At-Arms and the Sorceress discover it. Scanning the device, they identify it as originating from a cybernetic alien planet. A recorded message from Optimus Prime introduces himself and reveals it comes from a highly advanced technological society. The Sorceress and Man-At-Arms agree to investigate further, with Duncan already downloading the data.

On page 3, Man-At-Arms is confronted by Skeletor, who now wields the power and form of Megatron. Skeletor boasts that Man-At-Arms is too late and taunts him before firing the Havoc Cannon. As Man-At-Arms reels from the attack, Skeletor declares his intent to demonstrate what Megatron would do, leaving Duncan shocked and questioning, “Megatron?”

On page 4, Skeletor, in his Megatron armor, declares that the Energon of Grayskull will be his, but He-Man intervenes to stop him. Skeletor boasts of his newfound, unparalleled power, which begins to drain the Power of Grayskull from He-Man. Man-At-Arms fires back, hitting Skeletor and forcing him to retreat. As he departs, Skeletor vows that the power of Energon will eventually be his, leaving He-Man and Man-At-Arms reacting to the mention of Energon.

On page 5, back at Man-At-Arms’ lab, it’s revealed that Energon—the power source central to the Autobot/Decepticon war—has similar energy readings to Castle Grayskull, making the Power of Grayskull and Energon essentially the same. Skeletor, now imbued with Energon through his Megatron armor, poses a major threat. Man-At-Arms explains that Megatron’s nemesis is Optimus Prime and the Autobots, inspiring him to create new Autobot armor for himself. Fully suited up alongside Optimus Prime armor He-Man, Man-At-Arms declares they now have a fighting chance, and He-Man rallies them with, “Let’s roll out!”

On page 6, at Snake Mountain, Skeletor proposes an alliance with Scareglow, promising that with Energon from Castle Grayskull, they can conquer Eternia—Skeletor will claim the planet while Scareglow gains the souls for Subternia. Scareglow agrees, and Skeletor uses the power of Havoc to transform him with the abilities of one of Megatron’s most dangerous Decepticon soldiers. The transformation completes, revealing Scareglow in a new, powerful form in Starscream armor, as Skeletor declares they will now reforge the entire universe together.
