Wave 6 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Review

Fresh in from Mr. Home Arcade, we’ve got a solid look at the Wave 6 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection figures in hand, and these are looking fantastic. We’ve been following this wave closely since the initial early info for the 200x MOTU Origins Cartoon Collection Wave 6 Details, so it’s incredibly satisfying to finally see what these figures look like outside of official product shots. Mr. Home Arcade’s coverage gives us a great sense of the sculpt work, the paint applications, and how the accessories look in person. The 200x aesthetic continues to translate well into the Origins format, and from what I can see in these images, the headsculpts and armor detailing are carrying that Mike Young Productions energy in a way that should make fans of the 2002 era very happy. Color accuracy looks solid, proportions feel right, and the overall presentation of this wave seems to hold up nicely against what we’ve seen from previous 200x Cartoon Collection releases. If you’ve been on the fence or just want to see exactly what’s arriving at your door, scroll through the images below!

I’m really enjoying seeing these together because they give us a great look at the complete Wave 6 presentation. On the front, Trap Jaw, Sy-Klone, and Sorceress all share the same dramatic Castle Grayskull backdrop with the bold He-Man and the Masters of the Universe branding across the top, while the large blister bubbles provide a clear view of each figure and their accessories. The oversized Cartoon Collection logo at the bottom immediately tells you what line they belong to, and each character subtitle reinforces their role with Trap Jaw as the “Evil & Armed for Combat,” Sy-Klone as the “Heroic Fist-Flinging Tornado!,” and Sorceress as the “Heroic Guardian of Castle Grayskull.”

200x MOTU Origins Wave 6 Package Fronts

Flipping them over, each card features unique, comic-inspired artwork, illustrated by the taletend @fetch.franciscoetchart tied to a classic Filmation episode. Sorceress highlights The Ties That Bind, Trap Jaw showcases Trust, and Sy-Klone features The Mystery of Anwat Gar!. I really like that artwork for every package feels like it celebrates that specific character. The lower section also gives collectors a quick look at the included accessories and the rest of the wave, making the backs almost as fun to look at as the fronts.

200x Sorceress

You get a clean front and back comparison showing how the wings attach flush to the upper back, with the peg connection hidden neatly beneath the helmet’s rear dome. From behind, the skirt wraps smoothly around the waist as a single sculpted piece, and the segmented blue ribbing running down the back of the torso adds a nice textural contrast against the smooth gold armor elements flanking it.

Sorceress MOTU Origins 200x MHA 5

These side-by-side profile views of Sorceress MOTU Origins 200x MHA show off the layered feather sculpting on her wings, with each row of plumage carved in clean, overlapping detail from base to tip. The teal bodysuit features ornate gold scroll patterning across the torso, and the matching gold wrist cuffs, boots with fringed trim, and pointed helmet pull the regal theme together from head to toe.

Sorceress MOTU Origins 200x MHA 1

Here’s a great look at all the accessories laid out in front of the Sorceress, including a pair of detached feathered wings, a pleated skirt piece with gold trim along the waistline, and a staff topped with a winged crossguard. The ornate knee guards feature circular jewel details surrounded by sculpted leaf-like framing, adding visual richness to the lower half of the figure.

The staff’s crescent-shaped blade has a wide, sweeping curve with a sculpted bird motif where it meets the shaft, and you can see how well it scales against the full figure. The ivory wings sit naturally behind the shoulders with their layered feather rows spreading wide, giving the overall silhouette real wingspan presence.

Sorceress MOTU Origins 200x MHA 3

The teal and gold color scheme really pops from this front-facing view, with the scrollwork on the breastplate flowing into the belt’s curved emblem just above the skirt’s split panels. Her face sculpt carries sharp, angular features with blue tear-like markings trailing below each eye, framed perfectly by the helmet’s ornamental crest and the headress sections cascading behind her shoulders.

200x Sy-Klone

You get a clean front and back view here that highlights how the radar dish plugs into a rectangular peg socket on the upper back, with the two curved halves fused together to form that full concentric ring shape. From behind, the red armor panel between the shoulder blades and the segmented blue spine running down the torso add structural detail that’s completely hidden from the front.

Sy Klone MOTU Origins 200x MHA 5

These profile views show off the sculpted musculature running down the back of the arms and thighs, with the yellow limbs carrying visible ridges for biceps and quads that give the figure real bulk from the side. The dish sits snugly against the back with its curved rim extending past the shoulders, and the helmet’s fin crest rises just above the dish’s upper arc.

Sy Klone’s full accessory spread is on display here, with the shield’s raised dial and indicator blade sitting alongside the belt and the radar dish.

Sy Klone MOTU Origins 200x MHA 4

Sy Klone makes a bold first impression with his yellow and blue color split across the body, tied together by the red belt, boots, and that massive concentric radar dish mounted behind his shoulders. The chest armor features a circular emblem with a detailed radar screen graphic at its center, and his shield carries a sculpted dial design with a raised indicator blade.

Mr. Home Arcade literally lays everything out flat here, giving you a full top-down view of how the figure’s proportions come together, from those thick sculpted thighs down to the chunky blue gauntlets and boots. The radar dish’s curved prongs fan out wide behind the head, and you can see the red helmet’s fin-like crest wrapping snugly over the brow ridge.

Sy Klone MOTU Origins 200x MHA 2

Sy Klone’s face sculpt is clean and stoic, with a narrow jaw, small defined mouth, and pale blue skin visible between the cheek guards of his yellow helmet. The red concentric rings of the radar dish frame him perfectly from behind, creating a layered backdrop that amplifies the overall visual impact of the figure’s upper half.

200x Trap Jaw

The card front features fiery artwork with Snake Mountain’s stone walls framing Trap Jaw, while the back showcases a dynamic illustrated scene of him battling alongside icy beast creatures. Mr. Home Arcade displays both sides together, giving you a full look at the card art and the wave lineup of Sy-Klone and Sorceress shown on the reverse.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins 200x MHA 7

Mr. Home Arcade frames the front and back together, giving you a full 360-degree look at how the harness sits over the torso with its curved shoulder guard and rear armor plating. The hose connecting into the mechanical arm is a nice functional sculpt detail, and the belt’s skull-faced buckle is visible from the front alongside the segmented boot armor wrapping around the shins.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins 200x MHA 8

Mr. Home Arcade gets right up close on the face sculpt here, and you can really appreciate the deep furrowed brow, sharp cheekbones, and individually sculpted teeth that are jagged and sharp. The yellow eyes have a feline, narrowed look, and the red helmet wraps tightly around the jaw with a jagged lower edge that mirrors the teeth below. Mattel even stayed true to the 200x Cartoon with coloring his lower jaw piece a brighter red than his helmet.

Here is the the side-by-side comparison and you can really see how much the layered harness and shoulder guard bulk up the silhouette compared to the left side of the figure.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins 200x MHA 9

You get a full layout of everything included. The right arm’s oversized mechanical arm extends well past the knee, and those green thigh pads help break up the grays and bluw skin tone.

You can see the back of the harness here with its ball-joint peg and square socket, showing how the piece is engineered to connect together.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins 200x MHA 3

Twoof Trap Jaw’s interchangeable arm attachments are laid out here, each with a ball-joint peg for swapping onto the mechanical arm. The claw has curved pincers with serrated inner edges, while the blaster and hook feature distinct sculpted panel lines and ridged detailing along their shafts. If you notice the white stress marks from the claw attachment, just be careful and try not to force the attachment into the arm.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins 200x MHA 5

Trap Jaw looks aggressive with his snarling expression working together against that blue muscular torso. The massive mechanical arm with its serrated claw attachment is a real showpiece, and you can see how the sculpted armor plating on the legs and shoulder carries fine surface detail throughout.

Trap Jaw MOTU Origins 200x MHA 1

The blade attachment takes center stage, with its wide pincers giving the mechanical arm a much bulkier silhouette than the other swap-outs. Typically the blade is straight and not curved, which adds a more compact look to it.
