Star Wars Retro Collection New York Toy Fair 2025 reveals

Back in December, Hasbro revealed a new wave of Star Wars A New Hope Retro Collection 2025 Pipeline reveals, and now at New York Toy Fair 2025, we finally get to see what these figures look like! Huge thanks to Pixel Dan who is at New York Toy Fair 2025 and is bring us incredible coverage for the imagery we are sharing here. They include mostly never before made characters that were not part of the vintage Kenner figure line and one cantina alien! Some of these characters included in this however have been made from some of your favorite fan made customs by Procustomfigures and Stan Solo Creations. The new wave includes the Rebel Fleet Trooper, Han in Stormtrooper outfit, Yavin Ceremony Luke, Walrus Man, Sandtrooper and Dr. Evazan. So let’s check out these Star Wars Retro Collection New York Toy Fair 2025 reveals!

Here you can see images from the Kenner Booth of this latest Retro Collection! Apparently these new cards are supposed to be better quality and the representative at Hasbro said that you will be able to peel off the big red “Retro” sticker off the cardback if you would like to. Let’s hope so, because the cardbacks look so much better with out them.
It’s great to see this New Hope of mostly never before made figures in the vintage Kenner form!
Rebel Fleet Trooper
Rebel Fleet Trooper was always been a fan favorite figure that Kenner collectors have been wanting for years, but was never made by Kenner until now. Here we can see the new Kenner Retro Collection version.
Talented customizer Stan Solo filled this void and gave us an amazing custom version of this figure, but now we will be getting an official release by Hasbro! This figure is so popular, that Stan Solo even offered it in a four pack! You can still get it on their website at Stan Solo Creations – Etsy.
Here we can see my display of the Stan Solo version of the Rebel Fleet Troopers along with a couple vintage and custom Kenner figures from the Toy Sorceress’ personal display. They look great in the Star Wars The Vintage Collection Star Wars: A New Hope Tantive IV Hallway Playset which you can purchase on Amazon here. So you will be able to do this with the Kenner version as well!

Han Solo In Stormtrooper Outfit
Han Solo In Stormtrooper Outfit was always a figure that Kenner collectors wanted. Luke in Stormtrooper disguise was made by Kenner in the last 17 figures of the original vintage line, but they never made Han Solo.
The new Retro Collection version of Han Solo’s Storm Trooper helmet is made of a soft plastic and you can fit it easily on Han’s head.
Talented customizer Stan Solo filled this void and gave us an amazing custom version of this figure, but now we will be getting an official release by Hasbro!
Here we can see my display of the Stan Solo version of the Han in Stormtrooper outfit in the Toy Sorceress’ personal display. We will be able to recreate a cool scene like this with the Kenner version but we would still need a Luke in Storm Trooper disguise as well.
Yavin Ceremony Luke
At the end of A New Hope, Luke, Han and Chewie get awarded with metals in the Yavin Rebel temple. Yavin Luke looks really great in his yellow jacket and removeable honor metal.
This figure recreates that moment. Here we can see the Procustomfigures version of this figure. I think the Kenner Retro Collection version is much more successful.
Walrus Man
Now Walrus Man is the only figure on the reveal list that is from the original vintage Kenner line. We all remember this cooky version of the figure that didn’t resemble the way he looked in the movie at all, but we all still have fond nostalgic memories of this figure!
The new Retro Collection Cardback is looking much better and again you should be able to peel the red “Retro” sticker off.
Below we can see the original vintage version of the Walrus Man.
Sandtrooper
The Sandtroopers were found combs the sands of the Tatooine desert looking for the droids who stole the Death Star Plans. Kenner never released this character in the original vintage line until now.
Procustomfigures has made this figure and he looks really cool! Complete with an orange pauldron on his shoulder and long range rifle, you can recreate all those cool desert scenes!
Here we can see the Toy Sorceress’ personal display of the Procustomfigures version of the Sandtrooper.
Dr. Evazan
The last Retro Collection figure in this pipeline reveal is Dr. Evazan. Dr. Evazan was featured in the Cantina scene in a New Hope and as you know, it did not end well for him. He went up against Obi Wan Kenobi and get the bad end of a lightsaber!
This character has been released in TVC The Vintage Collection, so we can see how that version compares.
