May 21, 2022: Final Production
This image you see below is of the final production figure! If what I know about Super7’s logistics, it usually has been taking about 60 -90 days for their product to make it from their factories in Asia to their warehouse. So that would put Cheetara in our hands around late August to early – mid September! She looks absolutely stunning!
Wave 3 Cheetara vs Wave 6 LJN Inspired Cheetara
Some of you may have already pre-ordered this version of Cheetara, but a new LJN inspired Wave 6 version was hinting at last week when Super7 accidently revealed their Wave 6 figures and then took it back an hour or two later! But that vintage LJN version of Cheetara just pulls at all those Nostalgia heart strings! So, with 2 versions of Cheetara going to be available, which will you choose? Will you pick up this Wave 3 version or wait the year plus to get a Wave 6 LJN version? Let’s take a closer look at each, shall we?
There seems to be some slight variations between the two versions of Cheetara. The Wave 3 Cheetara is more reminiscent of the Rankin Bass 1980’s Cartoon version, with the wind-swept hair do, more muscular arms, and the loose bracelet design. The Wave 6 Cheetara seems a little slenderer and innocent looking, obviously reminiscent of the vintage LJN version. If you are looking to complete your vintage ThunderCats collection, be sure to check out our new shop page! Both versions of Cheetara come packed with an alternate head, 3 additional pairs of hands and her signature long staff. But the Wave 3 version of Cheetara does come with some additional accessories, which include a short staff, open communicator, closed communicator, mirror and flute! Also, I would like to point out that the alternate head that comes packaged with Wave 3 Cheetara includes glowing eyes, as if she is heeding the call of the ThunderCats when that bright red lion logo flashes in the sky from the Sword of Omens summoning the ThunderCats! Now that’s pretty damn cool! So with all of that being said, which Cheetara will you choose? Will you get one or both? We would like to hear your opinions!
Wave 3 Cheetara figure includes:
- Cheetara figure
- Alternate head
- Head with glowing eyes
- Extra hands
- Short staff
- Long staff
- Open communicator
- Closed communicator
