Teela and Ram Man MOTU Chronicles In-Package Official Images

Hot off the press, we’ve got our first official look at in-package images for two new Masters of the Universe Chronicles releases, and they’re giving us plenty to dig into. Teela makes her Chronicles debut here, and she looks fantastic on the card, while Ram Man arrives as a single boxed figure for collectors who may have opted out on the Amazon exclusive 2-pack with Fisto or simply want him on his own. From what we can tell, Ram Man appears to be using the same buck as that 2-pack version, though one notable omission jumps out right away: the coil effects that came packed in with the Amazon set don’t appear to be included here, which is worth keeping in mind if you’re deciding between the two. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, but for collectors who want the full accessory spread, that 2-pack might still be the one to track down. Now, the cross sell on the back of the packaging is where things get really interesting, because this wave appears to include He-Man alongside Teela and Ram Man, but he’s posed differently than he was on the Wave 1 cross sell that featured Man-At-Arms and Tri-Klops, which raises the question of whether this could be a different version of He-Man entirely or simply an updated pose for the same figure. Nothing has been officially confirmed yet on that front, but it’s the kind of detail that makes you look twice. He-Man Version 2?

Looking at the cross-sell for this wave, it’s unknown how significanly different this He-Man will be from the first release but we did get a clue from Entertainment Earth’s listing for the Core Wave 3 Set of 4 figures, which has He-Man with a differnent UPC than his first release.

Teela

Teela’s box front gives us our first real look at her Chronicles design, with a white and gold outfit, an alternate head, a sword with an ornate hilt, and her rifle in the tray. The discovery of both her and Ram Man’s packaging together fills in the picture of this wave nicely.

The back of the Teela box features a large image of her figure posed with a sword on a volcanic terrain, with two inset photos on the right showing the figure in different action poses. The cross-sell strip along the bottom confirms the wave lineup of He-Man, Teela, and Ram Man.

The brown boots feature a sculpted strap detail around the shins, and the knee-high cut gives them a practical, warrior look. Her face has a calm, neutral expression with clean, well-defined features. Teela holds a blaster in one hand and a sword in the other, both with nicely detailed sculpts. The vest has a layered, scale-like texture across the torso that catches your eye in this full shot.

Her rifle features a gold-toned shaft and the sculpted detail that fits her well.

Teela is posed in a wide stance with the blaster held up near her chest, giving a good look at the brown leather harness and leg straps that criss-cross over the white bodysuit. A small holster or pouch is strapped to her hip, a nice functional detail that adds to the overall kit.

Teela holds the short blade in a two-handed grip, and the sculpted crossguard and wrapped handle are easier to appreciate here. The shield is strapped to her forearm, with a curved, angular shape that sits close to the body without looking bulky.

Ram Man

The front of the Ram Man box is our first look at MOTU Chronicles single-boxed packaging for him, with the discovery of both his and Teela’s packaging giving us a clearer picture of the wave lineup. A double-headed hammer and what look like extra wrist accessories sit in the tray alongside the figure, though notably the coil effects included with the Amazon exclusive 2-pack with Fisto are not present here.

The back of the Ram Man box gives us another the cross-sell images along the bottom also showing a He-Man figure posed differently than the Wave 1 cross-sell, raising the question of whether this is a new version. The main artwork depicts Ram Man mid-swing on a volcanic rocky terrain, with two additional action shots on the right showing him charging forward.
