Teela v2 MOTU Core In-Package First Look

We’ve had the official images for MOTU Core Wave 4 for a while now, and more recently we got our first in-package look at the wave with the Translucent Skeletor v2 package reveal, but now it’s Teela’s turn and I’m really into how the figure is looking through the bubble. There’s always something about seeing a figure sealed on card that shifts your perspective compared to loose promotional shots, and Teela v2 is a great example of that because the packaging gives you a much better sense of the colors and proportions as they’ll actually appear when you have this in hand. The v2 designation here is worth paying attention to because it signals the kind of iterative updates Mattel has been making across the Core line, refining sculpts and deco with each new version, and for a character as central to the MOTU mythology as Teela, getting that presentation right matters. Seeing her alongside the Translucent Skeletor packaging gives us a nice sense of how this wave is shaping up visually on the shelf, and I have to imagine the rest of the wave’s in-package reveals aren’t far behind. For collectors who’ve been tracking Core from the beginning, these package shots are the puzzle pieces that fill in what the final product will actually look like at retail, and so far Wave 4 is looking sharp.

The corset-style sculpted ribbing across the midsection of her top adds real texture to the torso, a nice structural detail that reads well at this scale. Her thigh holster is sized to fit the rifle accessory, which has a curved stock and a long barrel.
