The Real Ghostbusters Fright Features Kenner Classics Target In-Store Exclusive
The Ghostbusters Fright Features in-store Target exclusive figures are a throwback to the vintage toys of yesteryear!
With the release date of the Ghostbusters Frozen Empire movie in March 2024 and the release of the Ghostbusters Frozen Empire Toys, fans have something to celebrate as the next wave of Kenner Classics Fright Features action figures are hitting Target stores as an in-store exclusive. The figure assortment consists of Ray Stantz and Jail Jaw, Peter Venkman and Grusesome Twosome, Egon Spengler and Soar Throat, and Winston Zeddemore and Scream Roller. The Kenner classics figures pay homage to the vintage Kenner The Real Ghostbusters toys with respect to their packaging, figure, and packout! Complete with action features and their accompanying ghastly ghouls, these figures strike the right balance of nostalgia! We wanted to thank Toy Habits Crew Member and friend, Soundtracks With Birdman (aka Daniel) for alerting us to these very cool figures! We also were able to track down the Target listings and DPCIs for all but Peter to help you find them in store, see below!

Egon Spengler and Sore Throat
Dr. Egon Spengler is considered the brain behind the Ghostbusters and has designed and built nearly all of their equipment. The card front features an illustration of Spengler confronting the Soar Throat ghost plus a demonstration of his action feature where you lift his tie and his jaw drops!
The Terror Teaser weapon can slide on his arm and Soar Throat can be squeezed (and teased!)
Soar Throat has big bulgy eyes, a long neck that looks like a corrugated pipe, and a lower body that resembles a cross between a chicken and a bat.

Vintage Egon Spengler and Sore Throat

Winston Zeddemore and Scream Roller
Winston applied for a job opening late in 1984 after business started to pick up. Winston Zeddemore and Scream Roller’s card front features a scene where Winston is running away from Scream Roller as he is sticking his tongue out. Featuring a head spinning and jaw dropping action feature, this figure looks like it would be a lot of fun!
The Spud Thud weapon can slide on to his left arm while the right arm is used to initiate his action feature! The Scream Roller ghost fits over the Spud Thud device for many ways to display this figure!

Ray Stanzt and Jail Jaw
Dr. Raymond “Ray” Stantz was one of the original Ghostbusters and was one of the most devoted to the pursuit of studying the paranormal. His card front features an illustration or Ray with his ears sticking out while a mean and nasty Jail Jaw looks back at him!
Ray comes with his Fork Lift device and you can place Jail Jaw right between the tines! his action feature is activated with his right arm, which makes his ears stick out.
Jail Jaw, like his name implies, features a large mouth with an opening like the bars of a jail cell. He also has two horns on top of his head and a squat lower body.

Peter Venkman and Gruesome Twosome
Dr. Peter Venkman has doctorates in both psychology and parapsychology. His card front features a funny scene as his eyes are bugging out of his head as he stares down Gruesome Twosome.
His left arm operates his action feature while his Hook Shot device can snag Gruesome Twosome!
As his name implies, Gruesome Twosome is a Siamese ghost if you will, joined at the hands. He features horns on both heads while his lower body resemblers a Budah.
