CARTOON SERIES Bravestarr is an American animated science fiction series that was produced by Filmation and aired from 1987 to 1989. The show was set on the planet of New Texas, where the main character, Marshal Bravestarr, served as the law enforcement officer of the town of Fort Kerium.

The cartoon featured a futuristic Wild West setting, complete with cowboy hats and six-shooters, as well as advanced technology like hovercrafts and robots. One of the unique elements of the show was Bravestarr’s ability to call upon spiritual animal powers, such as the strength of a bear or the speed of a puma, which he used to battle outlaws and save the town.

The show also had a diverse cast of human and alien characters, including Bravestarr’s trusty robot horse, Thirty/Thirty, and his Native American deputy, J.B. McBride. The villains of the show, such as Tex Hex and Stampede, were often morally ambiguous and had complex motivations.

Bravestarr was well-received during its original run and has since gained a cult following. It has been praised for its positive representation of Native American culture and themes of environmentalism and social justice.
