The packaging design here is really fun, built around a sewer tunnel motif with crumbling brick framing the window and a New York City street scene running across the top. All four Turtles peek out from a manhole cover in the artwork above, each identified by their signature mask colors, while Super Shredder stands center stage among the figures inside the box, his purple and silver armor contrasting sharply against the green of the brothers flanking him.

Here’s a closer look at the full packaging from a front-on view, and you can really appreciate how the sewer diorama interior gives the figures a sense of place even before you crack the box open. The warm, amber lighting printed onto the cardboard backdrop catches the Turtles’ green skin tones nicely, and Super Shredder’s spiked silver helmet and clawed gauntlets add a real sense of menace to the far right of the lineup.

Here’s a look at all five figures out of the packaging, and the sculpt work across the Turtles is impressive, with deeply textured, mottled green skin and those warm orange-tan plastrons showing individually carved cross-hatch patterns on each shell front. Super Shredder commands the center with his layered silver armor, jagged shoulder spikes, and dark purple bodysuit, while a small canister of ooze sits at his feet as an included accessory.

Leonardo’s got that classic wide, toothy grin from the ’90s films, and the blue mask tails trailing behind his head have a great sense of motion sculpted into them. His two katanas are molded in a warm orange-tan color, and the brown leather belt and strap running across his plastron have a nicely stitched texture throughout.

Raphael’s sai are molded in that same warm orange-tan as the other Turtles’ weapons, and the triple-pronged tips have a nice sharpness to them. You can see how his red mask, elbow pads, and knee wraps tie together as a cohesive color accent against all that mottled green skin texture.

Michelangelo’s nunchucks have a great look to them, with tightly wrapped chain handles in orange and flexible cords that give them a real sense of swing. I like how the freckle-like dark spots scattered across his green skin add a subtle layer of organic detail that separates him from the smoother animated versions.

Donatello’s bo staff has a nice wood-grain texture sculpted into the orange sections, with the purple grip wrapping tightly around the center in a spiral pattern. His teeth are individually sculpted behind that big grin, and the purple mask sits snugly against his head with tails that have a soft, flowing shape to them.

Super Shredder is covered in gnarly silver clawed gauntlets that extend from his forearms like jagged talons, and the small red Foot Clan symbol on his chest armor is a subtle but appreciated touch. Two canisters of ooze sit nearby, each filled with swirling yellow-green mutagen detail that adds a fun narrative tie-in to his transformation.

Here’s a look at the full lineup laid out with all their accessories, and at 4.25 inches these figures pack a surprising amount of sculpted detail into a compact scale. Super Shredder’s morning star accessory has a wicked spiked ball on a long brown handle, and it’s easily the most imposing weapon in the entire set.
